do we need to bring a lunch ? Yes, or at least lunch money. I might be doing a class on how to properly choke down an MRE, per dave's suggestion. But again, bring money if u'd prefer wendy's that day

Quick summary and reminder: Well, training's finally come at last! Apologies to the masses that this thread's been so quiet for the last month. Work and personal life got very eventful...and very exhausting...mostly in positive ways, tho. For those planning to attend, here's one final run-down: -Airsoft Infantry School: Kookaburra Field, Temple TX. May 25th and 26th (no overnight...it's two separate days.) Gate opens 0830, field and store (per OC-6 approval) 0900. Safety Briefing 0930. Training 1000-1600. Lunch 1200 -1300. -please post info on the Airsoft Infantry School Roster thread, if you haven't already. The instructors and I need to get a feel for who's attending, age and experience wise. -Instructors have been assigned...BUT...all prior service/active duty military guys and gals are more than welcome to volunteer their services, advice, and experience. -Check this thread's posts for the syllabus IOT know what to expect to learn. The schedule IS flexible, however. If something has to change on the fly just a bit, "we'll do it live" -Remember, I and any instuctors/volunteers will enforce ALL Kookaburra Field rules and regulations IAW those established by the field owner, Dave Demorrow: OC-6. I will make NO EXCEPTIONS to any safety procedures, waiver rules/regulations, and conduct of proper and safe field play. PM me regarding any questions or concerns. I'll be monitoring my PMs frequently 'til game day. Love, LT

Wait, no skirmishes just full out training? My friends wanted to know if there are skirmishes after lunch so we could use training we received before lunch. Maybe do some team based missions, maybe CTF with one flag that both teams must fight and use tactics to get, take the points, defend the position, or maybe just plain ole TD. If needed we could try some save the hostage scenarios or maybe even some squad based ones where players will be split into squads (they're choice, consist of 6 or so people) and be on tan or green. Once that happens, they will be placed one each side of the field and must eliminate the other team only working with they're squad, thus making them use squad tactics to overcome the opposing team.

More specifically, mini-missions and objectives to accomplish that will incorporate first half of the day's training.

Gotta get hands on Virus Even if it was just training, I have a feeling you will get more out of the training then a months worth of skirmishes so long as you keep your ears open, mind open, eyes open, and follow what the instructors tell you. If you do, then next time you play a skirmish or large OP your advantage no matter the odds will be in your favor. LT sir, I will be doing my best to come Friday and Saturday. I plan on getting that ranger-tastic high five.

Sorry I had to leave at lunch and miss the skirmish to practice what we learned, but I had to return to home base to help the sick wife. Thanks again y'all for taking your time to teach us what you know! This was a great way to spend a day of Memorial Day weekend!

Ok time foe my ranger tastic AAR. Friday: For us instrucotors it was a good day to get our ideas flowing and figureing out what work and what didnt. for those who showed up on friday good job to you all. Saterday: Great turn out first off, if im not mistaken it was 13 students which is awesome! The day went smoothly, no massive hickups, the usual getting side tracked (LT) moning went smoothly and all the trainies picked up on the info very well for it getting jammed down thier throats so quickly, good job. Afternoon went just as well, had allthe studnts put the information we gave them to use and la-de-da!!! IT WORKED!!! RANGER HIGH FIVE!!! BOOOOM. Students: I had no problems with anyone, didnt have to yell for any saftey issues or anything, well done again. Instructors: LT, Kraut awesome job! i liked the fact that we kinda stayed together and were able to have all of our inputs on each subject matter. I think that worked better than our station idea? Also, it was awesome that we had instructors from differnt parts and ranks of the army which seemd to help with different points of view. I loved working with both of you and will most deffinatly do it again if the oppertunity arises for a level 2 class or another level 1 class.

Already have several players who couldn't make it as well as several out of state players asking for youtube videos of the training. So if you do another round of the level 1 and/or add a level 2 my team will definitaly attend to film/ participate.
