Dave's = temple airsoft.
Like I said, if turn out at dave's is low on Sunday , I just don't want to drive that far. So either at guru or daves. Toffee, we usually play around 1-6 on Sunday's. I'll keep u posted. Hope u ca make it.

ok people im starting to get a little ticked, it takes me 20-50.00 to get to the field and open it for people to play.
on most sundays i have opened it has been for free play,,,,, free. as in not playing.
this is the crap i get... people or team XXXX call at 0901 how many people are there, i say 0-3
ok im not bringing my 3-5 players
0905 another call from team XXXX, how many players? 0-3 right now, ok my team will not be there
0930 another call how many players 0-3 , ok my team will go to field x.
so we go from 20 players to just 0-3
so i stop opening on sunday.
this is not a crack on anyone, but how the hell do you guys expect me to keep the field open without players on days you ask me to open. i spend 5 days a week promoting the field, the least you could do is show up once in a wile instead of pocking at it. last night opend the field for free ... 1 player showed

Now what Dave is trying to say is this....
People ask to come play during days that usually are not Saturdays. (Wednesdays or Sundays) and no one shows up. He just spent all that gas to drive out there for nothing...not to mention those two days (Wednesday and Sunday) are FREE game days.
So that means you don't have to day the $20 field fee. All he asks of you during those days is to help keep the field tidy by picking up some debris or moving some things for at MOST 30 min or so.
That way he can bring in more buildings to make the field even BETTER. So MORE players come out and PLAY.
The drive from Waco to his field is about 25-30 miles. Not very far so if thats an issue think of it this way....you arent paying $20 to play...so put that in your tank and show up for a FREE game. Who knows maybe if NOONE shows up and you work for more than and hour or so he may even say give you a discount on your next field fee or something (Free Lunch maybe??)
All in all....if you are 100% sure you are going to show up...say so.
If you are %50 sure just say you may not make it that way he can say for sure how many people are coming instead of...
I have 5 for sure and 15 maybes....
That could mean we will have 20 people...or only 5 because of all the maybes.
He can only keep this field up and running through the efforts of all of us. I know this to be true because I came out here and helped out whenever he needed it. So I am proud to say that I had a hand in building this field...however small amount that was...but at least it happened.
So we all need to pitch in when we can. Sacrifice an hour out of the 5-7 hours of game time you have out in the field to do some work on the field. It will be greatly appreciated and you will feel good about it.

hello im new to the forum i will be moving down to waco this summer and im looking for some places to play in the area and prices for fields with the way i play up here every sat and sun rain snow it doesnt matter any info will be appreciated

Go post an intro in the intro section and let us know who you are! I live in Waco, closest place to play decent airsoft is Dave's field in Temple (the field that this forum is dedicated to). I'm sorry you're heading to Waco...  (I live in Waco). At least there's not much traffic here! |

The owner of this site and the owner of the temple airsoft field, I and most of the people here play at is strictly Airsoft.
