My name is Doug. I'm originally from the Central Texas area, and currently living in N.E. Texas -- hopefully that's only temporary.
While currently old and out of shape (and destitute), I have a goal to change that sad state of affairs. I'm thinking that will be one benefit of playing and having to keep up with with the kids.
I have some military and LE experience, and an interest in history. Another reason for my interest in Airsoft is for its potential tactical training value. Then, of course, there's the networking.
I'm joining the board because I am related to one of the Templars who will from time to time indicate he wants me to come down and play some weekend.
I have yet to participate in any airsoft event. As for uniforms and equipment, I would have to scrape something together, and maybe rent, borrow, or trade my firstborn son for a weapon.
I also tend to be long winded, so I'll apologize in advance for that, and look forward to meeting all or most of you along the line.
