Kookaburra is a pretty nice field. There is a good sized town for that nice mix of long and short ranged engagements. The hedgerows are set up very well to encourage the intense CQB style gameplay without an indoor area. Havn't played in the trenches yet but they look great from what I have seen. The players are fair and honest and its a great community.

I've had the priviledge of playing on the field from the beginning, when there were no hedgerows, trenches, or town. I've seen the field grow to catch up with Dave's vision of the biggest best Airsoft-exclusive field inthe Central Texas area. There is always something new when I return to the field. The variety of terrain and field types keep it a fresh challenging place to play. Dave is also open to the players' input on the makeup of the field, or types of games to try. And now with the store on site, you can get anything you need right there on the spot at good fair prices without the shipping charges and the wait!

I came to the field around the time OP:Red Tide happened here at The Kookaburra Airsoft field. Around that time he didn't have all the hedgerows, trenches, store, or a majority of the town. I'm not gonna lie...it was almost empty. But seeing as it was the closest field to Waco I decided upon making it my home field and growing with it. So I did and the field grew and so did the Field Regulars. I met a lot great people fought with them and against them (airsoft...not a real fight...^-^). Great people all over fun to talk to, and very informative. As months went on I began to learn more and more about the sport and I passed that knowledge on to newer player just like it happened to me when I first began. This place has gone far...and it will continue to grow. I intend on supporting this field and it's players for years to come.

Show up to the field Roboyle, you will have your mind blown. And yes, this field is a heck of a lot better than Tactical Paintball. There's almost a mile of trenches, a full town with a couple dozen structures in it, and a few forts scattered across the field, and there's a few surprises here and there.
The store is pretty amazing as well, Dave sells gear and airsoft guns and very reasonable prices.
There was a mention of building a CQB facility sometime in the future, so you can look out for that.

This is the only field I have played on, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The set-up is awesome, with more than one option to play on, as well as the people there are good people. Not only that, something Dave said once, is that it is a community, not just another field (or something along those lines). Dave is really reasonable with prices and I can't wait to get out there again!

Best field and I have played on, Been around paintball and airsoft for along time time. The field play is amazing and has grown so much over the years. The wide array of CQB, open field, and trenches makes for a great day. Oh and the owner is ok too.......Just kidding dave is great, fun field, fun day, and lots of shooting. Great prices on gear and field fees can't beat it.
