Saw this today. It's a fairly well done documentary that HBO did with an embedded team with a company of Marines during the offensive into Marjah, Afghanistan last February.
Anyone who's met me knows that I'm a supporter of the military and our guys and gals in uniform. But this documentary made me think, WTF are we doing over there.
On again 2/25 - 18:30-20:00; 3/3 - 23:30-0100 and 3/8 - 00:45-02:15
It's not your typical narrated documentary. It's pretty much raw footage.

We are handing out hugs and kisses to the Iraqi and Afghani people. Who are SOOOO grateful for all that we have done. We have built them schools, establish regional security, and showed them the way of democracy. Just so they can hadji squat over our heads to take a shit.

when i was there i had no problem with the 120 that i had working for me. but
there were some HUGE mistakes made by the bras 1. ICDC they sucked and we let them get set up to get killed. 2. IDF at first they could not have anything larger than a AK47 (no tanks, RPGs, belt fed, grenades, nothing). 3. gen sanchez was a self serving dick 4. we had more people working keeping burger king open than the MSRs 5. ever changing missions, in the towns, not in the towns, in the FOBs, not in the FOBs, in super fobs, in small positions.... make up your mind!!!!! 6. you cant shoot the french news or CNN, darn
