Neo's Airsoft Repair and Modification Okay, I have finally decided to jump into being an Airsoft tech. Why you ask? Simple. I have a fairly expensive hobby called Airsoft that takes a fair amount of money out of my wallet.
So this means if you have an issue with your Airsoft replica that needs looking into but you don't think you can fix it with your skill level then let me take a look at it.
Gearbox versions I can work on...so far are Version 2 and 7.
Since I am barely beginning at this the prices and services will change at some point to reflect the level of time and difficulty on said service. So I will post a Base Price for now, below. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Airsoft Repair and Maintenance Airsoft Repair and Maintenance (ARM) Base Price: $20 and up - This the basic "hey my stock fell off or hey can you fix my hop-up?" So pretty much anything outside of the gearbox. Also you can request a nice maintenance of the replica. All that is cleaning the replica inside and out (except the gearbox) of any dirt or outside particles. If it's broken, this is what you ask for. Airsoft Gas Gun Repair, Maintenance, and Installation Airsoft Gas Gun Repair, Maintenance, and Installation Base Price: $20 and up - You have a blow-back issue on your Co2/Propane pistol? I'll fix it. Got a leaky mag? I'll fix it. Need a new slide/inner/outer barrel installed? I can do that. See where I'm going here? ;D Airsoft Modification and Installation Airsoft Modification and Installation (AMI) Base Price: $25 and up - This involves anything that requires me installing something new to your gun. A stock, a barrel, a body kit, etc. So if it's new (and not broken and needing replacement) this is what you ask for Gearbox Installation/Maintenance (GIM) Base Price: $30 and up - This is for any issue needing me to open up a gearbox and installing gears or springs, etc. Re-lubrication of gears and other moving parts will cost extra... maybe about $5 or so dollars. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Since I am new to this I will be quick to let you know whether or not I can complete the service once I hear you out. Also since this is my way of making a little extra cash that means I don't have the cash to buy the parts or accessories. So if you please provide those items for me. ;D
Again this is just a rough draft, so prices and services may change at any time.
Thanks,
Neo

I wouldn't feel very comfortable messing with it at the moment. But he said it was something about a fire rate selector in the front of the gun that may be shorted or just straight broken.
But I'm not sure.

I have a version 2 gearbox that needs to be opened up and i have a jg g36c with some weird crane stock on it that needs to be repaired and upgraded. with the version 2 gearbox, it's locked up and i just need someone to get it operational again. for the g36c with crane stock, it's making some weird noises when the trigger is pulled. Maybe stripped gears. i then need a new piston, metal bushings, m130 spring, and ttb barrel installed on it. i have those parts and have some extra gears and other random parts in needed. Please PM me back the cost for everything.

What are the best areas to apply silicone oil to the gun for regular oiling of the gun. There is no need to Oil the gun, putting silicone in the hop up actually makes it worse. Silicone will get in the barrel and if you have a TBB it will be prone to having more debris ie' dirt to cause jams. Regardless of what everyone recommends it's useless. BB's should be dry and OIL FREE when being shot and applying silicone there is counter productive. You want the hop up bucking to be able to add that pressure. If you must put oil somewhere put it in gas mags thats what silicone is meant for.

i have had abut 20 guns in the shop that were jamming or not feeding and a quick squirt of silicon in the hop up did the trick to fix the problem.

It all comes down to how much.I use some on my TBB every time I come home from a game.
I clean it so there is no dirt or debris in it. then I apply a LIGHT layer of silicone spray in the barrel and a TINY bit on the hop-up and thats that.
Too much, and as Poo said, It WILL gunk up faster and you will be cleaning your gun more often (you should anyways).
But like Dave said...it does help out in some jams.
It's all in how much you use, when, and where.

I usually add some bearing grease to the bearings as needs but nothing to much. I use Slick Honey, good for using on o-rings for good air seals. Recommend that you clean out your gear box completely of all stock grease and apply a dab here and there on the bearings and such. My .02, you can go as far as actually polishing the inner gear box, I usually do for it for the builds I make and for other customer repairs. But I have long since stopped doing repairs and custom builds for others.

Had neo work on my L96 with oodles of fun upgrades and cylinder work. Mostly the hop however, upgrading to a PDI hop and a 650MM TBB. Expedient work, no problems whatsoever (on his end, my idiocy is unimaginable). quick quality work.
