Went to my first op@ the Temple field, and I had pretty high expectations, and MAN, it did NOT dissapoint. The airstrikes were pretty dang exciting and intimidating for the most part, Jeeps were feared, and seeing a huge black blob of people known as the Hillcrest youth group was a normal occurence for every 5 min. I did not have any issues with other players, everyone seemed respectable in calling their own hits. A bit sketchy on the jeep guys, but for the most part, they seemed to be doing the right stuff. Only minor downside (which Im sure Dave has gotten ALOT of comments already about) was the flooded trench, which I was unable to fully utilize, shame, as I had an M60 that I could've easily used to utilize the trench. Another thing that was a bit annoying was the rocket launchers, ie; you couldnt tell which one had been fired, whether it counted as hitting a jeep, etc. It got a bit confusing at times, but I got used to it after the first 5 min of the first half of the op. I'm probably not one to exactly comment on this matter, but can I recommend those Nerf foam rocket launchers? They have an effective range of about 25 metres, then theres the "airsoft shell" method... Also, I didnt see any at this op, but is there the possibility that a person could eliminate a light armored veichle with a certain number of rounds from an underslung GL? Overall, fun op, Ill be there on the 26th

thanks just remember that i had to come up with a system that was... cheap easy to use and transport safe not produce heat or flash under 400 FPS. not affected by wind
so we are working things out by useing the system. i take most of the blame, but there were people on both sides that have used the system prior to this weekend. we have in fact used them the last 2 weeks in one form or another. it will get better but it takes time.
thanks for the imput dave

Great day indeed! Weather was amazing and the competition was stiff. I was glad Dave called the game at the end of the day when the Central Powers had been pushed back to their last flag with a thousand feet of flooded trenches between us and them. It saved us from having to send our guys in with snorkels. Although we would have. Seriously. Not myself of course. Our trench team. Command has it's perks after all And I thought I saw a lot of lightning, but it was only Dave, Morgan, and Neo, flashing across the field in thier yellow OC shirts getting some serious exercise running all over putting out metaphorical fires. That was fun to see <NOTICE> Did anyone happen to pick up a Sig 552 that was between the silver Hillcrest van and Daves gun store? One of our guys had laid it down and we think someone picked it up by accident thinking it was theirs. If any of you run a 552 would you check your gear and see if all of a sudden you have two? Thanks! <NOTICE>

Yeah, I dunno about Dave and Morgan...but as for me you were seeing lighting. ;D
I run a Sig 552 but since I was OC I didn't get to play...sadly. ^-^
Although I think I saw the little guy asking about a gun that he had placed on the table closest to the Gun Box/20 Foot container in the Admin area.
Maybe it was mistaken as a rental gun?

It was my first time at the field, and I have to say you've got a great looking place Dave. I had a great time all day. The jeeps and the airstrikes were both really cool and I look forward to coming back out as much as I can.

Music, I play classical guitar and sing. It's fun, but the practice time is pretty hefty.
