Date: january 21st, 1968
Location: Khe Sahn, Vietnam
Story: 3rd platoon was on routine line partol out of Khe Sahn when the battle of Khe sahn began with 2nd platoon defending the base. the NVA and viet cong lay siege to the Fire base and hunt for all US infintry. 3rd platton must clear out a tunnel system that the NVA is using to move soldiers and supplies then get back to Khe Sahn to reenforce 2nd platoon to push back the assult.
US forces: 40
2nd platoon:25 5 respawns defending the base
3rd platoon: 15 5 respawns medic "patches soldiers up"(tags them back in the game) clear out the tunnel system(trenches) and reenforce 2nd platoon at Khe Sahn
NVA & Viet Cong: 40 unlimited respawns spawn point is trenches until the tunnels are "cleared out". then they respawn from their medics. 3 medic respawn
NVA: 20
Viet Cong: 20
US Objectives:
Clear out the tunnel system: US soldiers enter the trench system armed with only handguns at one end of the system and make their way to the other end to take down the NVA flag. noone may shoot down in to the trenches from above or shoot up out of it.
Defend Khe Sahn: the US forces must defend the base from the NVA assult until either: A) a set time is reached, B) the entire US force is wiped out, C) the entire NVA force is wiped out, or D) the NVA flag flys over the base.
NVA Objectives:
Assult Khe Sahn: the NVA forces must capture the base or wipe out the entire US force before a set time.
Khe Sahn: Jadens burg or section of yepers
NVA tunnel system: trench system

i dont when it may happen. i got to get my team orginized. i was hoping to get someone more experienced to be in charge. i just thought i'd suggest it before i forgot about the idea.

werent the us soldiers in that battle badly outnumberd First of all there were U,S, marines and Army special forces. And speaking for The marines being outnumber is what we do best it gives us more to shoot at. If your looking for a good read try vally of decision by john prados and ray w. stubbe |

I'll go US army or NVA thats the only reason I never picked up the Pith Helmet cause no one committed. But I'm down regardless if this happens. But with the m14 now I dunno if i'll NVA anymore. Tsk tsk

VC and NVA used M-14s if they were big enough, there were many laying around, just like M-1s, MAS, M-3s, MP-40s, PPSH, MG-34s, etc....

The field we played on last sunday would work as a good mini HUE.The tower could be the citadel and set the field in sectors whinch the marines coming from the other side have to clear each sector moving towards the citadel.And you can always have a ARVN team that the marines have to rescue and this also would allow for the marines stopping at the citadel and ARVN to take the citadel.

In the trenches, only use the ladders or a defined ramp to enter/exit. No climbing out. Don't shoot in or out. Locate evidence or hostage rescue.
