I've been working on airsoft guns for a few years and I have some spare time since school has ended for a few months, so, I figured I'd start doing this again. You can drop guns off at my apartment in the Riverside area of Austin, I can pickup in Temple at least twice a month, I might be able to pick up or meet somewhere in Austin, depending on where you are, or if you really want to I guess you can ship it, but that's expensive and we don't like that. If you happen to be a member of Rising Power Airsoft you just pay for parts and labor is free, so PM me about pricing in that case.
AEG's
Repairs and Upgrades
If your gun is broken or you want it to work better, you're in the right place, I can help! Gun work comes with a 30 day warranty[1].
$15 + parts if no gearbox work required
$30 + parts if gearbox needs to be opened
MOSFETs and Electrical Stuff
In case you don't know what these are: A MOSFET is a solid state switch that has almost no resistance when compared to the conventional AEG trigger switch. Standard trigger switches deteriorate and build up resistance over time, which slows rate of fire and trigger response. The MOSFET stops this process entirely and actually has less resistance than a brand new standard trigger. I use IRLB3034 transistors which are arguably the best there is for AEGs. If you want to know more, visit the first link in my signature.
$20 - MOSFET unit with 16AWG wire attached, you install it yourself, this requires basic soldering. No warranty provided.
$35 - Complete rewire with MOSFET, 16AWG wire, and Deans ultra plugs, I install it for you. $15 if you have gearbox work done at the same time. 30 day warranty[1]
$45 - Double MOSFET, wire, Deans, and installation included -- Son, you think you got power? If you plan on holding down the trigger for long periods of time with a big LiPo or you think your gun is the biggest and baddest there is, this is for you. Forever warranty[2], if you manage to burn this baby out, I'll replace it for free. $25 if you have gearbox work done at the same time.
$10 - Deans Ultra Plugs installation on battery, gun, and an adapter soldered into your charger (yes, you will be able to charge regular batteries too).
GBB/GBBR's
Parts for GBB's tend to be more costly than AEG parts and are hard to find stateside, so expect a longer turnaround time as parts must be ordered from Hong Kong. Also, not all GBB's are fixable. Covered by my 30 day warranty[1]
$15 + parts if I don't have to take apart the trigger/hammer assembly
$25 + parts if trigger/hammer assembly work is required (might be less depending on the gun, $25 is worst case)
[1] 30 Day Warranty: If a failure occurs that is directly related to a part that I installed or work that I did, to be determined at my discretion, then I will repair your gun free of charge. Example 1: I reshim your gearbox and the gears strip 17 days later. = Free repair. Example 2: I reshim your gearbox and the stock piston strips 17 days later. = No free repair. Using a battery over 9.6v in a gun not certified by me as "high voltage ready" will void any warranty on gearbox work. Using a battery over 12v will void any warranty, regardless of "high voltage ready". Warranty's start at 12AM on the date that you retake possession of your gun ("day 1"), and end 29 calendar days later ("day 30") at 11:59PM.
.
[2] Forever Warranty: The only way to void this is to use a battery over 14.8v or to do something stupid like short out your battery while it's in the gun. Still, determined at my discretion.
These warranty descriptions are here in case somebody tries to nail me for something, I'm a reasonable guy, if you have problems, even after the warranty expires, let me know and we'll try to work something out.
