“Angola July 13th 1976... Angola is in the middle of civil war. The South African forces move to keep the Cuban backed communist forces from getting a WMD from a Soviet black operation. An elite group of specialist assembled from 25 nations under the UN flag, move in and attack the Cuban backed Angolan army for control of the “Black Sun”. It was all supposed to be a four hour operation until the reality of the plan came to light. The local communist militia swarm out from all directions to keep their new super weapon. Now, the elite international force had bitten off more than they can chew and the locals may change the world as we know it.”
This scenario event is NOT your normal “big game”. The shooting starts at 1700hrs and will run until at least 0100hrs (game could end as late as 0300hrs depending on mission results). The game is played in scenes that last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour each with 15 minute breaks between each scene. The scenes are set up on a pyramid chart that starts on the top and flows down from there. Each scene will affect what scene in pulled out and issued into the game. The game will not be ‘scored’ in a traditional manner. The game is scored with “decisive victory/loss”, “major victory/loss”, “minor victory/loss” or “draw”. So, the winner is decided based on the simple facts of did you compete your mission or not.
The first half of the battle will be during day light hours. The first contact will be set on over 100 acres with wide boundaries and no known/set approach. As the second scene opens it will become shorter play zones and more concentrated fights.
The second half of the game will be after dark. At night, all lights are legal and night vision equipment is in full use. Each scene will be run with a “sudden death” goal that will not leave any room for loose calls. There will also be pyros and other special effects on the field for this event.
This event will be run more like an actual military training operation than a normal airsoft scenario event.
This is a high intensity hot weather event. So, we suggest only physically fit, gung-ho and hard core players attend. Every year in the paintball version of this game we have between 5-8 players drop out of the game due to exhaustion or heat issues. Bring lots of water and eat a good meal before you come. Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate!!!
Some of the game features in the plans are a fully functional armored patrol boat, trip flares, pyrotechnics and much more…
