If you take out the gearbox from the lower receiver and look where the selector switch attaches, there should be an oblong or off-centered circle piece that moves the selector plate. Looks like this: www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3283

Is the tappet plate moving freely? Make sure that the oblong piece Joker is talking about is engaging the tappet plate correctly.

The tappet plate is what pulls the air nozzle back and wouldn't cause issues with the selector.
