Hello everyone... Just had a question regarding magpuls and if 5.56 ones would work with Airsoft M4 (KWA Midcaps specifically) mags? Ones like these... www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/2-MPIMAG001BI ordered some for my real steel AR and was just thinking how awesome it would be to be able to use them for both airsoft and my regular shooting. If not, could someone direct me where to get airsoft specific ones? If Dave carries them, I'll just go through him. Thank you. |

Yes they work. I run them with my KWA M4. As far as I know airsoft replicas are 1:1 of their RS counter parts.

Systema as well as Fight Club Custom are the only true 1:1 that I'm aware of. I could be completely wrong though. I know my G&G isn't 1:1 only because I've done side by side with my AR as well as my issued M4. I just realized I could have just put the real steel and the KWA mag next to each other to check this. I appreciate your quick and accurate answer.

No problem. I haven't encountered any issues with accessories for RS that don't fit with AS. doesn't mean that there aren't. I just haven't experienced it. Haha

I know the rails are the same, and that's only because both my EOtech and ACOG fit on my AS. Can you imagine... Playing with a real EOtech. HA

Yeah. People do play with them. I am in the market to getting an EOtech and other stuff for a new build though. Haha

They play with the RS version, not a clone? That just doesn't seem smart to me... Due to so many reasons ha. Shoot, at least for airsoft I prefer the clone because I do not like the pixalated site picture of the EOtech.

Well there are clones but before it became a craze they were gettind RS EOtechs and using them. I for one haven't handled an EOTech. RS or AS. I'd like too though.

When I get home I'll get side bisides Of the RS and the Clone to give you a good idea if you're interested.
That way you can see the differences.

Well, that I can do right now... Clones are roughly 85 dollars and RS are anywhere from 400-800 depending on NV capability among other things... I purchased mine along with a magnifier for somewhere around 900-1000 can't remember correctly because it was with a big purchase of other products.

I'm not sure as per what brand clone, as mine is completely unmarked. I just got it from my local shop. Was able to get out of work early so I'm posting up pics now.
