Why is it that just about every noob player out there wants to be a sniper?!?! And they all have a budget of $100!

except for the laying in bugs for 6+hrs
peeing on yourself
high death rate
MREs for 30 days at a time
having to be out on the line for longer than most
etc....

other than that its great!!!!!

I believe it's because they just want to sit in one place and shoot everyone, but not get shot at. They're thinking too much like a shooter video game.

Agreed. It's because most kids think that they "p0wn" at a video game which automatically translates into real time strategy ... which obviously doesn't.

As someone pointed out before: most will quit wanting to be snipers after a few rounds of figuring out exactly what it entales..

And besides, the adrenaline rush for CQB and a designated marksman role is so much better ;D

Cause they all want to be like me ^_^ .

I did carry 3 guns in the town.
Np5, hi Capa, and the sniper as the main. But main role, and will always be sniper.

My gun is pretty much stock except

Piston, Guide, spring, spring spacer and some seals.

I honestly didn't know what to expect, the recoil was barely there. It was more like a little kid shoving me.

That is why I enjoy being a designated marksman. lets you go to the action and then support the cqb guys while having fun taking pot shots at people.

Haha Yeah I wanted to be a sniper for a while, and was.. After playing airsoft seriously for over two years I decided I wanted to go the sniper route. Bought a TM G-Spec and upgraded the hell out of it. Yeah it was pretty sweet having all that range, but honestly it wasn't too much more than a DM's rifle, plus the RoF was terrible (bolt action). So I ended up selling it, getting a TM M14 and doing some serious upgrades on it. Not only do I have really long range, but I can go fully auto if need be.. DM is really the way to go!

That sounds pretty awesome. I'd have to say I like either DMR or SAW gunner. High power and a high rate of fire are my favorites. That's why i've upgraded my G-36 (if you can call it upgrading) with a 9.6v and an electric drum mag so I can really put rounds downrange. We'll see how it goes, I haven't actually played using it yet.

However... DMR also sounds like a good idea. I'd like to have an accurate weapon, be able to actually hit what I aim at, you know. Upon the successful sale of at least one G36, (and when I have a steady job) I'll probably look at turning a CA M16 into a DMR platform, if I am able.
