Yes I know this has been done before. 6/16/2012. But in my opinion, it was one of the best games at Temple Airsoft. Anyone up for round 2? The rules were something like: Terrorist vs Rangers. Rangers have ROE ( can only shoot if in danger) and terrorists don't. Rangers have to recover a bomb from the town. Terrorist have to stop them from doing so. I would really like to see this game played on the field again

It was very entertaining, and I think Dave had an idea to make this a bit better too.
There was one problem though. Terrorists really had no disadvantage to being shot.

Sign up for Operation Stateside then. If you want stuff like this stateside is the op for you. Operation Stateside looks more like an battle environment, while the Terrorist Vs Ranger game includes some role play.

Role play? Being on a team called the "terrorists" doesnt make it role play. Trust me, Stateside will be much better than a simple force on force skirmish...

Role play? Being on a team called the "terrorists" doesn't make it role play. Trust me, Stateside will be much better than a simple force on force skirmish... I'm sure it's not And what I meant when I said "It includes some role play" is the terrorist could act as civilians during the game if they want to. Like Fox in the beginning of this video: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qWzpFrKRoo4 And also Kanga with the water at 0:40 in the video. That's what I meant by Role play factor in this game. Not in any way am I trying to compare this game to operation stateside. In fact I think stateside is going to be a great game, I'm even signed up for it. Back to the original point. Anyone want to play this game again?

Meh. Played this game back when it was called OIF IV. Don't really care for it much.
Look, asymmetrical warfare makes for bad airsoft games. The insurgent strategy is mostly hit and run, hindering the enemy's advance with the fear that anyone can be a combatant because the insurgents look just like the civilians. Unless you're going to have people playing vanilla civilians with a penalty for shooting civilians for Blufor, you're not going to get the "roleplay" that you're looking for. The scenario is a good idea, it's just fundamentally flawed. Ask Danarky whether the U.N. Forces respected the rules of engagement during Reforger II and you'll get an idea how this game format would play out.

I'll admit...it was fun.
I also admit to effectively putting down a rushing enemy...who just so happened to be an unarmed civi reaching into his vest to pull out a bottle of water.
;D

Yes it could have some improvements but it still seems to be a good game with the fact u never know who's a true blue civi or who's gona pop one off at you
