So let's say you get just the outer barrel for $30
then down the road your slide cracks when you dive into a trench or bump into one of the buildings...
you're gunna end up spending $80 total.

Here is the way i see it, the $30 outer barrel looks to be higher quality than the replacement of both items. Id rather spend a little more money to ensure the longevity of my gun. Yes it may be cheaper to buy the replacement set right no but when they crack and you have to buy a second set, you will have spent $100 rather than $80. You get what you pay for is what i am saying.

Considering it's a WE, spending much more than that probably isn't worth it.

From what I have seen, the tm style g17's and g18's outer barrels are all the same.

TM style Glock 17 and 18C use the same outer barrels. The ARMY one, being a clone of TM, will fit. It's $5 on Airsplat and can be found here. (Ignore the Facebook comments on the page, those guys don't know what they are talking about.)
