The odds are you won't see a huge improvement in rate of fire, but Deans last much longer than Tamiya plugs.

I use them on my rc stuff due to where i store the battery

When I said deans I was thinking the red ones that are lower profile than those.

The only reason I switched is because they are stronger and connect easier. no fidgeting with the connector to get it straight.

I agree. XT60 connectors. Rocky, I have deans on all my guns and RC trucks. It's all I use. Almost 0 resistance. No heat. I love them.

Aside from being more durable and better made than Tamiya plugs, Deans lower the overall resistance of the electrical system in an AEG and *can* increase rate of fire and improve trigger response, depending on the condition of the existing Tamiya plugs and how worn the trigger contacts are. Installing Deans on a brand new gun might not make a huge difference, but on an old gun there could be a quite noticeable difference.

Don't overthink this. Just buy them and someone here can install them for youyou. But you have to convert all your batteries to deans and/or purchase new batts with deans. No more borrowing batts unless you make an adapter.

...and I always carry every adapter for every batt type. Just in case. And carry extra deans too.
