the carbon 15 is just the body (no pistol grip, no internals, no motor just the frame)

so what is the point of a split gearbox? doesnt that just make it more vulnerable to breaking? i mean id rather have my gears in side a solid piece of metal rather than 2 pieces where they can be exposed.

The ICS gearboxes split where the M4 receiver splits. Also, it makes easy maintenance since you have less springs per gearbox portion. And if you need to fix trigger or gear problems, you don't have to worry about messing with your compression system, and vice versa.

If you are disassembling the compression portion, you only have the tappet spring and piston spring. If disassembling the gear portion, you only have the AR latch and trigger springs to deal with. Not less springs in it, just less springs per half. |

The ICS split gearbox is slightly different than a standard V2 box, so it will not fit in standard receivers. If you plan to use this, you need an ICS M4.
