Hey guys! I used to play airsoft some odd years ago and had to sell my equipment off due to nowhere to play it. However a friend of mine went to the air soft field in temple and loved it. After I heard everything from him it made me want to get some equipment and play again. So I did Now I just have a few questions. Over at Temple airsoft what is the cost of playing out there?

You get the Foggy list of essentials: Eye Protection (ANSI Rated & Full Seal) Face / Head Protection (All fun and games till some one loses a tooth or takes a BB up the nose) Hydration Carrier (Camelbak, Canteen, etc) Hydrate or DIE! Barrel Cover / Sock Boots Gloves Dead Rag Would be a good start. any tacticool stuff can wait till you get those out of the way.

I see. Well right now I am a player on a budget. Ill make sure I stuff a water bottle or 2 in my bag this weekend before I leave. As of right now I just spent 200 bucks on rifle (http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=11102 + coupon), mags, co2 pistol (cheap crossman for right now...dont judge me ) and eye protection (because my shooting range stuff wont work here). If it turns out that I come out more then I might start investing in better gear. I just have a cheap hunting vest and boots that i can also get out of my closet. Another quick question. After the check-in is it allowed to cover the orange tip (ie. www.airsoftgi.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=JG+Metal+Flash+Hider+for+T3+Series&categories_id=&x=14&y=5&inc_subcat=1)? I have seen some videos where people do this but not sure if it is allowed here?

hi I never judge gear, having some water bottles with you Is just fine. the JG G3/HK91 is a good battle rifle so no issues there.
the only problem I see could be with the Crossman pistol, they have a habit of shooting hot due to the nozel breaking. we have had some crono as high as 900 fps (no joke). just make sure you crono it every time you play.
thanks and welcome dave

the orange tip issue is that you are not supposed to buy or sell a gun without a orange tip on it. keep it out of sight while transporting it and treat it as you would a real firearm and you will be fine with a black tip.

Yah Its brand new so Ill make sure I crono no problems there. If I dont like it or it breaks this weekend ill just return it and get a much nicer one next pay check. Ill be going with friends who have been there multiple times. I also have been tinkering with this thing ctaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=missionideas&action=display&thread=2607 and was originally going to use it for a ctf game with friends in austin. However finding out about your arena I thought I could make some tweaks to make it airsoft friendly. Mines going to be a little different but same general idea.

It just is. A 20 or 30 something year old man should not e hanging out with 13 year old kids. We can sling some bbs at each other, but outside of that, it would be creepy. Just my personal opinion.

yup, 100% agree, but shooting them with BBs is fun.

Let me put it this way, as a 14 year old, would you want to go hang out with a 7 year old?

That's irrelevant. Still considered a minor. Adults and minors not related in any way shouldn't hang out unless it's some event that brings them together.

Fuze your missing my point, you don't want to hang out with them because of their age. I am suggesting the same idea. The reason an adult would not hang out with a minor is both different level of maturity and just the plain fact as you put it, they are a minor. In the same aspect, there is a massive difference between a 14 year old and a 7 year old. The 7 year old would be just as impressionable by the 14 year old as the 14 year old to the adult. If i found out there was some teenage kid hanging out with my 5 year old, i would be pretty upset and think there is something wrong with the teen.

This whole conversation is irrelevant. No one is doing what we are talking about. Sorry Texanman, did not mean to jack your thread.

I thought we were talking about the age of players and the wide spectrum. Otherwise this thread sure went south in a hurry.
