Are the plastic g&g gbbs any good? They're only $140 so I figured they're probably bad?
Also, is there any spot were we are allowed to post eBay links?
Thanks

The G&G "GBBR" can hardly be called that. It lacks a full travel bolt, bolt catch, doesn't operate at all like the RS M4, and magazines are extremely expensive, even by GBBR standards. It's comparable to an EBB with ridiculously expensive magazines.
If you want a GBBR, buy a real GBBR, and if you want an AEG, buy an AEG, don't go halfway between.
You might want to take a look at the G&P and WE GBBR's, both have magazines that are relatively easy to get and have good parts availability.

the gun price isnt the problem. its the magazines. to hold 400 rounds, youd have to spend 400 dollars in magazines.

As far as cost per BB goes, WA and WE system magazines are similar in cost, then G&G compatible magazines cost significantly more. You'll spend more than $1 per BB for magazines for a G&G.
Also, you might want to try Craigslist for a GBBR, people sell them pretty cheap. I got my WE SCAR in good condition with 3 leaky magazines for $150 + shipping on Craigslist (guy was in California). I spent a few bucks and a few hours fixing magazines and came out way ahead in the end.

If you care for G36's, some guy is selling a WE G39 in Austin Craigslist for 175. There were a few others also.

What features of GBBR's are you interested in? Unless "uses gas" and "makes a funny noise" are the only things you want in a GBBR, don't buy one.

GBBR = Lots of $$$.
Unless you LIKE hauling around a propane tank and an extra giant bag of BBs around, an plan on spending 5-10 min. reloading and gassing up each mag.
Oh yeah, the gun itself.
What they basically did was take those Polymer Combat Machines, and threw in a GBB mech, so the gun feels like it's going to break every time you fire it.
That and the proprietary mags.
