I havent refered to milsim or tactics Sorry I thought you represented Task Force Sparrow and the mission statement. If I'm off topic, I'll digress.

I respect the TSF enthusiasm but I think what you are describing is not MILSIM. I am only interested in Milsim Airsoft and any event that does not have a uniform code and does not allow a SAW is not an event for me. I wish you luck and hope its successful. There needs to be more than just Milsim - variety is good for airsoft - but be careful of the crowd you alienate in the process. I am in that Milsim crowd that would rather drive 5 states for a real Milsim event. What you are planning may very well be a lot of fun but I don't think it fits the Milsim model.
Events like Reforger, Grozny/Dagestan, Helium Project, Bulldog, End State - those are for the Milsim crowd. To think the Milsim crowd wants fewer restrictions on uniforms and more on guns - that would be a mistake.

Milsim or not I think any effort to teach player base accurate and informative info to help improve overall skill of the individual player is awesome.

To clear up the TFS mission statement
I completely agree with what you guys are saying about milsim . What TFS aims to do is help average airsofters TRANSITION into milsim. Our ops are not milsim ops, theyre simply just more in depth scenarios than an average skirmish. We want to help players go from basic skirmishes, to more objective based games. We arent offering milsim ops. We are offering a middle ground event betweenskirmishes and milsim to help players improve and get used to game types before diving into full milsim events. If the mission statement seems confusing and doesnt reflect this we will definitely change it.

I think that clarifies everything and look forward to the outcome.

Support weapons ROF only becomes an issue with moving targets as your BB's per shot are spread out further. Higher ROF solves this problem.[/quote] aren't the targets almost always moving? unless their pinned their probably running. from that point of view, as long as you can carry the saw, and know how to shoot without wasting all your ammo, it would be the most effetive field weapon. right? (no sarcasm intended).

(no sarcasm intended). Well if the SAW is doing their job, the targets are in fact not moving! ;D as they have been suppressed. It's the runners trying to flank you is what you have to worry about. This all leads into discussions about setting up and creating fatal funnels as well. Many ways to deploy a SAW effectively though! For example for a while one of our saw's shot a much lower rate of fire because he could make his BB advantage last even longer. While I shoot at around 28-30 RPS. I don't have a problem catching a runner, but my other SAW counter part did. I would run out of ammo though faster than he would. Keep in mind the SAW's we run are fully adjustable as far as Rate of fire goes, so we have had the luxury of testing out several different variables. (Polar Star SAWs)

I think that settled the discussion. Now to find $$ for the SAW.
