hi everyone new to the forum names cody aka gunny im 22 not new to the combat scenario nor airsoft I had a very unique job for a few years . airsoft is just to keep my skills up to par and have fun and meet new people and make new friends happy huntin yall!

sorry cant say but there are very few jobs that don't allow people to talk about it but it shouldn't be hard to get an idea but I can say this anytime there is a possibility of me getting in a confrentation im required by law to inform the person im dangerous that's the most im allowed to say

Right... I love it when someone has to talk about what they can't talk about. I call bs. This is a game of integrity, don't forget that.
On another note change your team's name. There have been men who have paid with their lives in that unit. The use of it in this manner is grossly disrespectful.

yall can call bs all ya want im not here to argue and fight back and forth yes im young but it pays to know people with a lot of power and as far as the team name goes its in the name of my brother who was a seal that was kia so like I tell everyone always think about what you say before you say it cuz u don't know the history of the people u talk about and lmao obviously people don't know what trigger words are and the actions taken when trigger words are said and sometimes its what u don't know that can be dangerous treat everyone as your enemy that is trying to take your life then make your judgements accordingly and that is a statement and in no way shape or form a threat to anyone

thanks greesmunky and his name was matthew brewer rip brother u are not forgotten! lol im curious to see how quick I reach -50 karma lol people think that affects u but in all reality this is just a website people can dawg on people behind a computer screen all day long but when faced with a challenge in person its so funny how quick things change just like the thugs that run the streets sayin I did this and I did that send them overseas and see how many survive they wouldn't now what to do I have a big issue with troops overseas vs the sorry ass people that run these streets I tell everyone we are fighting a war against religion which will not be won period and then we come back to the u.s and we have saudamists rapeist killers drug dealers where are the terrorists right here in the u.s

Which will determine whether or not you allowed at fields and events. And so far you're not off to a good start. Your story seems a little fishy and your attitude definitaly isn't the greatest but I personally have no problem with you as I don't even know you. But I definitaly suggest you work on clean up your rep instead of making it worse. |

well im tryin to work on my rep but sadly people must feel that im bs and are sadly mistaken but not here to argue so on and so forth only I now whats real so with that bein and sorry if I seem to have an attitude but do what ive done and see what ive seen then u will see were the firm attitude comes from im not in no way trying to be mean towards anyone this is all just a game and nothing more just trying to make friends which obviously aint goin well but not my decision who chooses to like or dislike either way wish everyone the best of luck

We understand that there are certain things that people can not talk about for legal reasons. I think the issue is that he brought it up and then said he wasn't allowed to talk about it. Why bring something up if it's illegal to talk about? It just didn't make much sense. |

On another note, come out to the field and play. Sometimes people who seem one way on the internet are completely different in person. If you're the guy you say you are you should have no trouble fitting into the community and making friends once people actually getto know you.

Look for the banner or the flag, come over and introduce yourself, shake some hands, etc. We are all out there to play airsoft with honor and integrity, meet new people in our community and most of all have some fun. Howdy, I am E.L.F. from C.S.T.A.T. in the B/CS area. I am a former Marine. I have lost a couple buddies as well. I say this so you know where I am coming from. The issue is not that anyone disrespects your brother. This is a primarily military community. We just dont use real units as team names. The reason being we are not in those units, and if we are then when we are out playing we are not representing them. I highly suggest you come up with a new team name. Also as a former Jar Head I find your callsign of gunny to be highly inappropriate. Gunny is what we leathernecks call our E-7s. Being 22 you most certainly never earned that title. While this is mil-sim and we wear uniforms and play with airsoft guns we dont go so far to wear rank or call ourselves real units. I am not trying to be rude just trying to explain. Dont call yourself a SEAL unless you have the trident. Dont call yourself Gunny unless you have earned the stripes and rockers. If you have any questions I will be happy to further explain tomorrow at reforger.

I know my father retired after 20 years as a master sargent I know the corp inside out because of my father he always said I may be young but you have the mentality of a gunny been my nickname since I was little and as far earning the title it will never be a possibility for me but im not worried about it the corps loss not mine if I wud have known just names were gonna be this big of a deal and that people were gonna take it to heart id have never joined the forum but owell we all have our likes and dislikes but any jarhead is welcome in my book and wud take a marines recommendations over anyone else bcuz the usmc is the best and has the best I love the corp but will never be able to be one unfortunately the furthest I made it towards any military was mrotc curious what was ur mos and are ya Hollywood pretty or parris island strong lol

It's the airsoft community. People all around the country care about team names, callsigns, etc. Look at it this way, if you were in the military, would you want 12 year olds running around making a fool of themselves representing your unit as they act like idiots and wearing ranks they never earned? It's just a sign of respect not to do that. |

I have no family in the military. I still love airsoft. I, because I have nobody in the military, refuse to complete military uniforms or ranks. I also would never join a team named after a military unit. I try to respect them, everyone does. This fighting is redicoulose on this thread. People honor in different ways based on their family values. You wouldn't tell me I'm a terrible person because I only eat tamales on Christmas Eve, so why would you about any other family tradition.
This is a welcome thread. Can we please just welcome and not offend him, even if his "call sign" might make you feel in a way you don't like. Welcome and I hope to see you soon!!!

As I stated previously I was just explaining not trying to be rude. I understand family nicknames and it makes sense. To be honest if this were any other hobby I dont know if I would even think twice about it. To answer your questions I am a Parris Island Marine and I was an Ammo Tech (2311). I greatly appreciate your understanding on this issue and being so cool about it. This community is out to have a safe fun time with good people. You seem like good people and I am very glad we are able to have an adult discussion without melting into a hissy fit. Thank your dad for his service and I hope he is enjoying fair winds and following seas in his retirement.
