Hey, everyone. My name is Brian but my friends call me Clutch because of my radio show "The Meltdown with Clutch" www.themeltdownwithclutch.com. I figure it isn't a half bad callsign for AS either. Yes, I am indeed a certified NOOB when it comes to airsoft, but I've been a "student" of military history, equipment and tactics since I was a kid. And now, here I am as an adult and I see that there's a sport out there that would let me go out and use all that passion in a very cool and big way. Oh, I may be a noob, but I really can shoot. Watch the vid below: So, help a brother out and show me the ropes! I'm looking forward to strapping on my camo, shemagh and goggles and seeing what this is all about. I welcome any advice on a good (but budget-friendly) AEG to get started. (I tend to lean towards an M4 platform) I hope I can shoot with you guys soon and perhaps even be a part of a Georgetown or Round Rock team. So, what's next?  LOL! |

Welcome Clutch! Next you just need to make it out to the field/shop! Dave has many aegs to choose from! The players are very open to answering any questions for beginners. Look forward to meeting you!

OK, don't start throwing things at me, but what do y'all think about this new $99 Ignite M4 AEG they're selling at Walmart? (Gasp!) Seems to be getting some good reviews. Metal gear box, etc. Anyone bought / shot one? Might make a decent starter gun. That's right about my budget right now until I get my feet wet playing some airsoft.

but in that price range (or within $30 of it)? Believe me, I think I'd rather buy from Dave, but I've just got to watch my budget while I'm getting started and seeing if this is the new hobby for me. (which I suspect it is!)

Dude, I feel your budgetary pain, but honestly you should see Dave first. He's got some stuff for the exact same price that blows that Walmart shooter away. Take it this way: if Dave doesn't have anything that fits your needs, that Ignite is still going to be there.
