( Mind you if this thread is just beating up a dead horse please tell me immediately )
How many times have you been playing an objective game and finally get to the objective and then you are hit or safety killed and have to walk all the way back to your re spawn and then have to walk all the way back. I for one hate having to walk back and forth and have been watching a lot of videos on the subject and how the medic works is: 1.Every team has at least one medic 2.Once you are hit the first time you can be healed but any time after the first you must go to the spawn 3.If you are medic and are hit you can employ someone as new medic until further notice 4. How cool would it be just to yell "Medic!!"
So What do you all think ?( again please don't look at this as being annoying or someone beating up a dead horse, i just thought it was a cool idea and if anyone is offended by rule 4 sorry )

Im thinking about with say 50 people on each team have 1 medic per 10, and when the medic is shot then they must walk back to respawn till the medic is respawned, adding the fact you would need to keep him alive. And yes yelling medic would be awesome.

Issue with yelling medic is that when you yell medic at Daves it means there has ben a real world injury. Another issue with this is that you have to get the bandages for medics to carry. It may not sound like a big deal but when you have players just throw them on the ground after they respawn it causes lits of trash. And believe it or not medic games are much slower paced. Would you rather got shot and potentially be stuck in one spot waiting or be able to run back and immediately get back in the action.

Well to make things simpler we could change the title to corpsman ( to avoid confusion with an actual health issue) and you can have the option to either stay there or wait. I personally get a little angry when as soon as i get there i have to go back.

Most medic games have a bleed out option, so after five mins of no medic you can take the walk back to respawn.

we have tried medics in the past, it turns into a big cheat fest for the most part. had some stupid people at one battle that just sat down in the middle of a battle once and just waited for the medics and kept getting shot and got pissed and then blamed me for them being stupid and left. they sat down waiting for the medic, in the middle of the fight between 2 sets of players .... WTH??? if you can make it work let me know and we may try it.

It wouldn't always have to be the medic carrying bandages. I've played medic rules before where each player wears a length of para cord on their gear and ties a given number of knots in it. When he/she gets hit and calls a medic, the medic will untie one knot. When there are no more knots, the next hit sends them to respawn. There they tie new knots in the cord before leaving respawn.

Or you can untie it yourself if no medic appears within 5 min. but to untie it yourself you much be behind some cover and out of enemy fire, because if you get shot again while in the middle of patching yourself up you are dead, go respawn.
Usually there are 3 knots to represent 3 lives etc.

Ya the knot way is much easier and would lower trash rates I like the idea of getting shot while being healed your instantly dead and off to respawn

Medic games usually only work well with large games and even still promotes a lot of cheating.

Played with medic rules the other day. Managed to bleed out mostly and then respawn wondering where the heck was the medic? Oh yeah...medic got shot and had to go respawn which is what I should have done in the first place. Medic probably decided since I was an old guy I was close to dying anyway.
