If you intend to Admin for Aftermath II
Let me inform you on how admins will function within the game.
This year admins will work under a chain of command:
The Senior Admin / Chief of Staff (not Geddon) will be in charge of all admins on the field. Currently serving as Chief of Staff in North Texas is Boxer. If Boxer is not available, a Chief of Staff for Temple will be recruited. The chief of Staff will be an integral part of the design phase of this game and have advanced working knowledge of all mechanics.
The next in line will be Zone Admins
Reporting to Zone Admins will be the Floating Admins
And under them would be any player admins.
Zone admins will be responsible for a particular "zone" of the field. This section is YOUR section. You will stay in your section and handle all the administration for that section--aka a Zone.
Every zone will have some form of capturable real estate to show what faction owns that zone. Think flagstation (might not be an actual flag, we're in the design phase at this time)
A hospital/Regen/KIA collection point of some kind.
And most likely some other in-game feature such as a Trade shop, a faction base, a wastelander's home, etc.
Your job is to make the rounds overseeing the actions taking place in your zone. If something is happening at the border of your zone and another zone, you have a very limited duty to take care of things "over the line" as well, but essentially there will be 1-2 admins per zone. and most likely 6-8 zones. Thats a lot of admins. More than we had last year. The ticket price is higher this year, so if you're a younger player, this is a great opportunity to put mom or dad to work to get you a free ticket for the day.
A limited number of "floating" admins will be out there handling business across all zones. These are the people who do a lot more running to reset props (if needed), take on situations that exist outside popular zones, etc. Floating admins will report to Zone admins. 2-5 floater positions will be out there, depending on registration count.
Player admins will number 8 on the field, officially. These guys are still paying players and will be live on the field. Their job is mostly to keep a close eye on safety and rules and go in places that other admins cannot see. They are the random surprise admin that cheating players may not recognize at first. If these guys catch you cheating, its just as bad as a marked admin catching you. I don't like cheaters, and neither do the persons filling these roles. I also dislike unsafe situations, which is the primary purpose of these admins--quell safety violators immediately.
If you want to fill any of these roles, i would like you to contact my current chief of staff via his special email address:
Operations@GeddonsGames.com
I will also need an admin dedicated to marshalling staging area and manning chrono (you'll have chrono help in the pre-game and at segment shifts)
I will also require 1 check-in person per 50 preregistered players to assist with getting everyone checked in. Admins can help with this too.
This year's event is going to be big big big, and as such, we need to get organized early.
Players who are willing to come early and help get things moving, i'm sure an incentive can be worked out for you. Direct in-game advantages like extra ammo etc. I'm open to discussion.
Just putting the all-call out there as early as possible.
