Something that could be added to the range next to the shop that - at least for me personally - would be an extreme help in figuring out how the BB's fly would be just a big, black (or just dark) wall to fire at. against a dark surface, you can see the BB travel, and would be able to do cause-and-effect testing to figure out exactly what it does during flight.
I'm sure most of the pro's already know how BB's travel and whatnot and would have little to no use for this, but for those of us that haven't spent years with these things, I think it would be a tremendous boon.
Most importantly, then I could do better hop-up adjustments, becauseI could adjust, fire, watch and CLEARLY SEE what it does, adjust again, and repeat, and actually get it to how I want.
Currently it's just "well that seems to work, I guess" but personally I hate that, I would MUCH rather know EXACTLY what it's doing so I can compensate for it, etc.
Just a big plywood wall would be nice, maybe cover it with that anti-weed black sheet stuff. Or spray paint. Paint would probably be easiest, I suppose.
Thoughts?

I like the idea. A small white target to shoot at also.

Isn't that the purpose of the dark sillouettes?

Yes, but the black background is so you can trace them as they curve.

The black sillouettes are what gave me the idea, but they're too small to see it along it's entire path.

I had this problem too, hence the reason you see all those silhouette targets out there. As long as your shooting white bb's its not hard to see, its the green and black ones that become a problem. Scope help that problem....sometimes.

I may end up working a double shift, which puts me leaving work at 7am so if so I won't be in on saturday, I will instead be sleeping.

Unfortunately I am indeed working a double shift, so I won't be able to make it out this weekend. I'll build it next weekend.
