First of all let me start with my utter dismay of the field. I have heard all this talk about new things and to my disgust the was not a giant climate controlled bubble around the field.
Actually the new towers and golden weasel were very nice additions. I liked the extended hedgerows as well. Once again worth the drive. CSTAT came up in a different form this time as it was not our core players but some new recruits to the team. They expressed nothing but glowing remarks on the field layout. Great job!
I did not get my souvenir zip tie at the chrono this time. But it was not a problem as I know from past experience that Dave will chrono challenge in the event of a possible problem. We did start suddenly without units in place. The OP also went sideways from History as the Germans had no tanks and the Allies did. I wasnt crazy in love with being a German during that time period so it did allow me to pretend it was just green versus tan in my mind.
The pros severely outweighed the cons as it as a Safe and fun time. One the drive home the guys were already talking about the next game to come. Thanks to all the players on both sides for a fun day.
