mugensamurai, these photos are for you. I had to order the BOOGIE BUNGEE CORD/VELCRO STRAP KIT to get the parts I needed to complete the project. I also took off the strap from the wire mesh mask. I was careful when removing it so if I needed to use it again later I could reattach it. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. Attachments:

I like. This idea. Very much.
Wonder if the kit works for my replica AF...

Long time no talk guys, I ended up rocking this setup as well after I saw Kraut's setup. Very comfortable and effective, just need to make sure you setup the right tension on the bunjee cord the first time for the fit you want so you don't have to keep untying it.
The fabric molding around my mask melted away on the drive from Texas to California but I will just purchase a new mask.

Darkside - if you you know anyone that can sew, those masks are really easy to fix. And the glue that holds that fabric on is just gonna melt again next summer, thread doesn't melt

I am stationed at Fort Irwin and my gear is back home in Northern California. It will probably be sometime before I put my gear together again and get out for an OP.
