Has anyone heard of the game known as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? If so you would know that it's a survival open world RolePlay Game based in the frictional exclusion zone outside the Chernobyl/Pripyat area. The basis of the game is to survive as one of many fractions.
Bandits, Stalkers, Freedom, Duty, Mercenary, and Military.
Each fraction has a belief. Mercenaries are payed to go in and retrieve and kill anyone that gets in the way of they'er mission. A stalker is enjoying the free life, searching for artifacts created by the immense radiation in some areas. Bandits that steal, pillage, and capture stalkers. Now Freedom is a fraction based on keeping the Zone a free place for all to enjoy. While Duty is a group looking to control the zone (That is as much as i understand).
In the game. The fractions work like this
Stalkers versus Bandits
Freedom versus Duty
Military versus all
Mercenaries versus all but the payer.
It would me an extensive game, based on controlling points for they're fraction. Another thing. There are Emissions. Which are very large clouds emitting from the core of chernobyl. They hold very high radiations and can kill anyone caught in the "storm".
Now to form this all into a game. would take the entire field, and would use markers to show the Control points, some sort of fake currency, and a way to tell which fraction your on. Each hit would do realistic damage and there would be currency bought medic kits or a fraction Medic to heal you, and if you are dead/out of play. you will have to wait for the next "Emission" to finish. Emissions in the game should be separated by at least 30 minutes and last 5. Mercenaries can be bought with the in game currency, which can be obtained by finding one of very fue Artifacts, which can be any irl object no one really needs. the rarity will be color cordinated. White for Common. Green for uncommon. Blue for Rare. Purple for Epic. The payout for each would range from 100 for common and raising up multiplied by 10. so:
100 - Common
1000 - Uncommon
10000 - Rare
100000 - Epic.
The in game currency would go by 100s and 1,000s.
Mercenaries are already in game but are neutral unless approached. Once approached they can either become friendly to your fraction, or enemies, all depends on how you act to them. If you walk up blazing and shooting, then your fraction has declared war on the mercenary fraction.
So, am i missing anything?
What do you think?
