Hello. I am the Dutch Burgemeester (Mayor) and if you would like to protect our independent nation from the Nazi or Bolshevik threat (take your pick), please join us. Our attire is civilian and our role will be determined as the game goes on. Some Dutch fought in the Resistance against the German occupation and harbored Jewish refugees, while others joined the SS to fight alongside the Nazis. However, most were peaceful civilians which both sides avoided engaging or attacking.
If you want information on joining up with the Dutch civilians, send me a message. My plan is to conduct an onsite meeting immediately following the safety briefing to discuss our initial role and placement in the game.

Welcome Warsaw and weberac.
If you have an orange dead rag or other piece of cloth you can make into an armband, as well as a black one for the same purpose that would be good. I will have extras, if you can't.
Others: Please note that Dutch partisan activity would be governed by and in accordance with these principles and with the provisions of Articles 1 and 2 of the 1907 Hague Regulations, which recognized "belligerents" as persons belonging to organized military forces, whether the army or militias and volunteer corps, provided that such militias or volunteer corps fulfil the following conditions:
(a) that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates; (b) that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance; (c) that of carrying arms openly; (d) that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.
Dutch civilians not carrying arms openly and wearing a distinctive symbol (which will be an orange armband for those fighting alongside the Allies and a black armband for those fighting alongside the Germans) are merely civilians and should be treated accordingly in accordance with international law governing the conduct of military operations. Acts in violation of such laws will be considered and addressed by the local governing body and could result in hostile action against your forces by Dutch partisan forces.
