Question. Wouldn't XXX corps also have tanks or vehicles of some sort. Because if I'm not mistaken the Irish division was an armored division. Don't mean to bust balls just watched that movie like a billion times. I know that at Arnhem the British didn't have tanks until the very end. However the reinforcements from XXX corps were definitely mechanized and had a real tough time moving the convoy on that road. Btw very nice turret.

buy and man a tank and i will let you bring it to the field. it was not a irish div, it was the guards armored div made up of irish, scots, grenendeer, coldstream, welsh guards, the household cav and other units that in peacetime guard the royals.

So... anyone down for helping me producing a tank this weekend?

What kind of weaponry is or is not acceptable for the so called tank. And what other things do I need for the tank to be up to Dave standards of field usable.

if you bring a vehicle it must be streel legal, none of the glass can be covered by anything you cant see through. everything needs to be secured, the chipped glass is on YOU. if YOU want to use it on the field YOU take the risk.
it can not be driven more than walking speed, the driver has to be over 21, reverse will never be used on the field, and i have to aprove him as i did for the german driver.

Do you mean the giant Gatling gun turret Dave found in his barn. I was thinking about modifying a truck cap that would fit my truck to have a turret. Then using PVC pipe with a bicycle pump and some valves that would shoot a nerf ball for anti tank warfare. But I don't know if its acceptable because of safety. Then I guess use the saw as anti personnel. Either way I'm going to need help building it, and a crew to even use it.

Which group did you sign up for, pnut? Dave - regarding the dutch civvies... do they get free run of the field? What are the ROE for the germans regarding them? (friendly/hostile/unknown?) And do they have a particular location, or are they just "wherever they want to be". Also, since on the map you list 1st airborn as "not till phase 2" does that mean they won't be in the game at all until Phase 2 starts? And when does it start? Regarding this armored vehicle that pnut is building, does it have to be driven in from the front lines, or did they get airdropped prior to the battle? Unless he's part of XXX, then it doesn't matter to me Is the 9th PZ Div ALL of the IIPZ guys? or are some also stationed at the HQ? Lastly, just double checking, but the light brown part of the map just north of the trenches, and east of the XXX corps start/spawn, that is NOT your property, right, and therefore not in play? since if I recall your property makes a big L shape?

Was just wondering if a bb will penetrate or bust the glass. If they are capable of breaking the glass then I wouldn't use the truck. Other than that I wo.uldn't care. And trust me when I say any injuries or broken equipment of mine would be on me. It can be a dangerous sport, if that happens I wouldn't press for compensation of any kind. Only thing I'm worried about with the "tank" is being able to drive it back home afterwards. Other than that its for love of the game.

Dave - regarding the dutch civvies... do they get free run of the field? What are the ROE for the germans regarding them? (friendly/hostile/unknown?) And do they have a particular location, or are they just "wherever they want to be".
they are a unknown, if they are wearing orange arm bands they are allied, if they are wearing black they are dutch SS. dont mess with them if not marked or you may influince them, and not in a way you want.
Also, since on the map you list 1st airborn as "not till phase 2" does that mean they won't be in the game at all until Phase 2 starts? And when does it start? phase II will be after lunch.... the 101 and 82nd will be put together and form the 1st airborne in phase II.
Regarding this armored vehicle that pnut is building, does it have to be driven in from the front lines, or did they get airdropped prior to the battle? Unless he's part of XXX, then it doesn't matter to me. must be XXX corps.
Is the 9th PZ Div ALL of the IIPZ guys? or are some also stationed at the HQ?
some better be at the HQ or the 82nd may capture it!!!!!
Lastly, just double checking, but the light brown part of the map just north of the trenches, and east of the XXX corps start/spawn, that is NOT your property, right, and therefore not in play? since if I recall your property makes a big L shape? not in play. XXX corps start in the small trench area on the hill opisit of the store. thanks please read up on the battle and more will be understood. dave

Yes, I know, I ask lots of questions. Here's another: So the 30% 6th FJ that is on the south end of the field near the bridge to belguim, near where the 82nd land. Do they get to start the game already stationed at the bridge, or are we going to have to move up to it once the game starts? Also, do the XXX corps have to follow your blue line on the map, or can they cut across the field and go straight south from the shop? And why do you have the line cutting diagonally across the empty part west of the hedgerows? Is the bridge actually in the middle of that big empty area? Or is it not empty anymore? Been too long since I got a good look at the field with tactics in mind and this aerial photo is from november.

Wouldn't the rules on the tanks be the same for both allies and nazis, besides where the spawn points are.

Maybe for simplicity sake, but the nazi rules are: tanks may not leave the town except for occasional quick missions, and fuel must be captured for each tank run. This is to simulate what the actual conditions were for the nazi panzer divisions back then, and would not apply historically to the allies.
