I'm new to this sport and i already have great aim with target practice. I own a JG614 aka HK416 assault aeg. I have protection and everything else. Even military grade woodland camo. Weekend games are the best for me. I'm 18 and ready to play. I'm excitable and tactical and i hardly miss.
My name is Mikal Wilson. my call sign is Ghost, and for any gamers in this forum. My nickname was ghost long before MW2 came out. The one thing i have yet to obtain is a pistol. I'm looking for a cheap blow back that is reliable.
I am very pleased to meet you all.
PS: Is there a price to play at the field? just wondering

I've always been on and off. I had a lot of cheep spring guns from walmart and i always had a skirmish in the neighborhood. I am a team player. and i forgot to mention i do have some form of combat experience from playing a lot of paintball. Almost twice a week for a straight year. It's not the same sport but i played a lot of milsim with the home team of the field i went to. 20 dollars isn't bad either, its reasonable. But i do have combat experience. Shouldn't be to hard to transfer from one style of gun to another.

Should also add. I'm in the Killeen/Ft. Hood area and it is only a half hour drive to the field

I'd love too, is there a membership fee? and what are the benifits? lol i know about the feud between the two sports. I like airsoft more because its cheaper. Easier, and the games don't cost an arm and a leg

I think people who trash on paintball and vise versa should just grow up. Just my 2 cents. But welcome to the community.

It's no that no one likes paintball, airsoft is just cheaper. Dave came from a paintball background, not to mention a few of the regulars.
Aside from that I recommend you actually play at the field a few times before jumping on any team. There are only a handful of teams/groups that play on a regular basis. Then after you decide that you like playing with a certaIn group then persue a team. This will also give that team a chance to how well you play as a unit.

1 welcome to the forum and community
2 i have never said that i hate paint ball, i started there and did more than 12 years on a european pro team. it has its good points but for me it has more negative and i have moved on. people that play paintball i have respect for but i just don't play that any more. got it.
3. please call your milsim experience milsim and real combat experience combat experience , just clears up a little confusion.
thanks and welcome to the field and community. dave

welcome to the forum, bro prior experience is always helpful to make field play better. as others have said, teams have a tough time sticking sometimes, but there are plenty of regulars that attend the field. generally, players get split between tans and greens. be that team player, be safe, share knowledge, be patient and willing to learn...most of all, have fun!...and look forward to seeing u out there :-)

Welcome - and to echo what's already been said...Lot's of us come from paintball! What most people don't remember is paintball started out with a big focus on Milsim!
On another note - teams that have some tenure/stability are typically invite only. Best to show up to skirmishes/Operations, shoot with honor and integrity and be safe. People take notice and the more you shoot with a specific team the better those members get to know you and more importantly, you get to know those members!
I think there are plenty of airsoft teams out there, they come in all different shapes, sizes and goals. It's best to shop around and find what fits best for you and hope you fit best with that team/community!
For example: CR has team representation in Austin, Killeen and San Antonio.

I look forward to playing with all of you. Hopefully This weekend and once or twice a month. maybe 3 times in a month if I'm lucky. I'm a very active, very military wise educated, so it should be fun playing milsim with everyone.

I, too, suggest playing at the field for awhile before joining a team. Not a requirement by ANY means, but you will get to know people better, and be much more likely to find a group you mesh with and have fun playing with. I still haven't joined one because I just come to the field and play to have fun. I also tend to take more of a leadership role in skirmishes, and like the challenge of molding whatever players I am with into a fighting force It's taught me that nobody is a mind reader, and everyone understands orders differently, and patience is worth it's weight in gold. Good, safe fun is what this field is all about! P.S. We're real big on safety. You might have noticed. (if not, you will!)
