hey i know im pretty new to this forum but wanted to pitch a game me and friends play back home that is quite interesting. the name says it all just even teams with each team having one VIP who will end the game if hes shot. only the OC's and the individual will know who is the VIP. each team starts opposite sides of the play area and only use sniper rifle or long rang weapons with a pistol. they are also given unlimited manueverability throughout the course. just something we played and thought would open up ideas to any other players. any comments would be helpful thanks guys

The only issue with this is that most players use assault rifles, not long range guns. So are they just not supposed to play?

It sounds workable. I like the "mystery VIP" idea. Adding another objective for the teams to carry out while the VIP stays alive could keep it interesting as well.

like i said i really just wanted to put the idea foward i have not been out to the field here in texas yet so i dont know how everyone plays. up in NY the guys who cant afford sniper rifles play with whatever they have but i think the whole VIP game style adds for a more almost objective like gameplay while at the same time leaving you open to plan your movement. so many games could be played this is just one i enjoyed in the past

Oh think it could work if you integrate assault weapons to guard the VIP. Then have assassination and counter snipin as the main goals. Each team gets a tower or something and then VIP sends teams out to do objectives, recon and such. They determine other VIP. Then sniper teams and assault teams coordinate to assassinate.

There are very few that actually commit to a DMR/SNIPER role at the field, and for that few only a fraction of those are actually capable of being used as such. Espically with a lot of guns shooting full auto being able to reach out to 150+ ranges. The field has very strong cross winds so it makes those straight shots nearly impossible year round.
