Due to the city and the average structure size within it, i think the Temple Airsoft field is a perfect candidate for a game i have on paper based on District 9.
Gonna give you a brief overview here to determine if there's interest.
If so, i'll talk to Dave about scheduling it at some point.
Factions
MNU - PMC Uniforms
Nigerian Arms Gang (NAG) - Camo top or bottom, half civilian
Prawns - Interactive Admins - Uniform to be determined
VIP/HVT : Special Characters
Wikus Van De Merwe (MNU)
Christopher Johnson (Prawn)
Adolfo de Jesús Constanzo (NAG)
Koobus Venter (MNU)
Game Plot
MNU will be tasked with standing orders throughout the game:
*Search house to house, serving eviction notices to the prawns that live there and looking for contraband weapons and illegal birthing pods
Nigerians will have standing orders to make deals with prawns for weapons, protect their existing stores of weapons, and deny MNU access to their key areas by whatever means necessary.
Prawns will be portrayed by OC/Admins and provide interactive cooperation, resistance, and game substance as needed
HVTs will attempt to carry out a special personal mission list while trying to avoid capture.
Wikus Van De Merwe is wanted by both the MNU and NAG as both groups believe he is the key to unlocking the secrets of alien weapons technology.
Both Koobus Venter(MNU) and Adolfo de Jesús Constanzo(NAG) are tasked with apprehending him
Christopher Johnson (Prawn) is Wikus's accomplice
When shot, the HVTs will "bleed out" as normal, however at the conclusion of their bleedouts, they will resume active play rather than die. HVTs must stay on the run and avoid capture during the event.
If captured, they must remain at specific areas in MNU or NAG custody for up to 30 minutes. At that time, the side holding him would be credited with bonus points for the game and the HVT would be released and relocated to a new starting place.
In truth, the game isn't very "sci fi" even though its based on a sci fi movie. I know some people are against "sci fi" games, but this provides a very grounded milsim experience of a private military group having to do what could be considered a mundane or routine duty in an extremely hostile environment.
Locating and controlling a set of hostile HVTs who are driving the overall story with trigger events, etc.
Even room for a few shenanigans... i'll undoubtedly bring catfood to the game and let it be used as nigerian arms currency. LOL
What do you think?
