Zombies die when hit, can either respawn were they stand after waiting thirty seconds or go to a designated spawn. This could either be a Survivors vs Zombies or just plain INFECTION ( were if your touched you are infected )(( course its same for bothe game modes) Course there is still the factor of vets having PTSD and responding with violence to this playful game of "tag". I would have to a good time to do this would be late September to the weekend before Halloween ( on every other Saturday ).
So what do you guys think? ( this may be recycling of another post so please excuse me if this idea has already been shot down)

I don't really care for the idea. Dave has various reasons that make sense.
Another reason I was just thinking of, is what do you do, if you're being chased by a zombie? Run back and shoot, which could easily causes trips and falls.

It's been year or so ago we actually tried a "Walking Dead" game (It's here in the threads somewhere), Dave sat down with a couple of us and we hashed out ideas and put them to a test one day. As OC, Dave watched how things worked out. We had a town with civilians, Umbrella Corps, and then a couple of "pre-infected". When infected you kept your weapon down and did not use it, you could say "infected" when you got within 5ft of someone and they became infected. They would go off somewhere for a couple of minutes to "turn". They first came back as a fast zombie, when they got shot, they'd again go off to respawn as a shambling zombie. It became too tense of a game, esp with the close infection engagement. Dave saw too many potential flashpoints for problems with these grey area engagement rules, as well as other things. So, these, on top of the rule problems mentioned above, just make a zombie-themed airsoft OP an unsafe venture.

if other fields want to put on zombi games thats on them, but we have tried twice, never works.... there are just way too many porblems and if you advertise you get teams from other areas you dont know about.
remember the greywolf situation was started by him being a big babby and crying with mr witted about getting shot in the face, both from over 70 ft away, and that cost $12,000.00+
so no zombie games. thanks dave

Yeah I've done everything I can with sitting down with Dave, talking here on the forums, and looking over other zombie airsoft events. From everything I've looked at and talked about there are always variables in the game no one can account for or be prepared for. I've tried to think up all sorts of odd things to help push the idea, from paper plates for the zombies to show the kill zone, to zombies having pool noodles that can reach out and touch people. The issue comes when you add in the one element that zombie games push on people, stress.
When people get stressed they react differently, and when you are low on ammo, have no way to fight back within the rules some people forget the rules, or some people try and bend them. Even when you have ammo when zombies are coming at you from multiple sides you get stressed and start turning quickly to take out as many zombies as you can, and who is to say when you turn quick one time you don't swing your gun right into an oncoming zombie player. Trust me I want to have a zombie game as much as the next person at the Temple field but within the safety rules I'm not sure at this point in time. Who knows though, someone could come up with a great idea to make the game work and be fun for everyone, but right now it has not come about.
On that note, like Geddon said he will be looking to make a zombie OP in November on a different field and looking to make the game safe and fun as well. If we get enough people from the temple field who want to go to the OP, and thing go really well, we can bring back information to Dave, talk about it some more, and maybe do a test game, but we will have to wait and see. Geddon's OP in November will be a good chance for people to see how a zombie game goes down, and I'm sure Geddon can tell you while he loves putting on events they can be just as stressful for the one putting on the event too.
