The closed beta is now live! Anyone who bought a Founders package has access to it.
Anyone else (other than Caliban who I know is also into Mechwarrior) planning to play MWO?

I did, and am currently reaping the benefits (plus I have no issue giving money to the people who are making this wonderful, wonderful game that I love lol). Technically I can't tell you anything about it due to the NDA on the closed beta =/ "technically"  which means I won't post information about it anywhere that will be recorded and can be googled, which rules out almost any kind of internet based messaging available, lol. |

Still waiting to see if MWO puts out the Mad Cat, since its in the time the game is in. My pilot name is MakuuSharigoto. I'm to broke currently to buy a founders pkg. would if i could though

The madcat exists, yes, but the Clan Invasion has not happened yet - I wouldn't expect to see any Clan mechs becoem available until March/April next year (the first wave of the Invasion occured in March/April of 3050) since they seem to be following the timeline with our years transposed but the months within those years the same. Think of 2012 as 3049, and they seem to want to treat each real year as a game year. That is pure speculation though, although it's the most popular theory right now based on the fake "news" articles that they have been releasing.

Good point. Still though. Through out the years playing Mech Warrior, the best mech i piloted was the Mad Cat. But if i gotta wait, its worth it  . |

Well the Madcat is one of the most well balanced and powerful mechs in it's class ever produced. I personally can't WAIT to see it deployed. That and the Vulture, Daishi, and Nova Cat.  It's a shame we'll most likely never see any of the FedCom Civil War era mechs in MWO  |
