1st time at k field today for grandson and me.
Started early waiting at gate for entry. met w/ Dave and his wife. Super people.Thanks for the hospitality and providing a top level place for airsoft.
Briefing and chrono started at 1000 hrs.
Moved to town for two games of force on force blue team vs. no color. Blue team learned value of taking high ground early in skirmish. Squads learned that commo keeps respawns down for your team. Blue lost both times though.
Lunch at 1215 for an hour.
Next was Operation Saving Private Frog. OPFors attempting rescue, both teams 1 for 1. Learned high value of area denial by Mark's SAW. High team casualties when SAW in use.
Moved back to town for force on force using north-south entry points. Lessons learned from AM skirmish paid off.
Next was free for all last man out wins. Some tense moments as it was a true hunter/killer event with no allies and no quarter.
Final game was OPFors east-west and I made it as last man out!! Could'nt believe it since I was getting lit up all day.
Overall fantastic 1st time experience for us, no equip failures, no injuries, and everyone was super friendly and courteous.Thanks for the compliments for my grandson's playing ability and sportsmanship. He had one of the best times of his life.
