For everyone that missed today, it's too bad. We had an awesome time.
For everyone that came but left early, extra shame on you! lol
Scenario: Game started at 11PM and took us about 45 minutes to run. 4v4 team set up in town with the new lights running. Chem lights for dead rags. 1 respawn.
How it went: Started off well. Visibility was about as expected: could see clearly around lights but that made it even harder to see anything across field. Shadows essentially became full cover. Several times Wullf and I were trying to spot enemies shooting at us across the field and couldn't see anything. Communication (something Dave schooled us in today) and stealth were the most important things. The end result was very close. it was 3v2 in the end (with us being on the short side) and, like I said, effective use of shadow cover was the deciding factor. We ended up pulling out the win (barely).
Evaluation: This was the most intense match I have ever played. The lighting made it feel like a much more desperate situation. You never knew when you might be watched by enemies you couldn't see. The weather helped as well. It was gettin kinda nasty and that just increased the energy in the air. Also, the overall feel was kinda creepy. We kept making comparisons to Silent Hill and F.E.A.R and things like that. It just had that feeling of the unknown hanging in the air. Overall: very exciting and fun. Y'all missed out.
I want to have this again and next time, we better get a lot more people out there!
