Im up for it dude, Im ordering a m16 soon because i needed a range gun and the one im getting is the m16-a1 so its the vietnam one. But post some ideas and Im all up for it.

Sounds likes cool idea, I'd say base a lot of it in the trenches (as tunnels or just as trenches) for the US and have them send patrols into the town or the woods behind the town and then on a signal the VietCong attack the trenches in a raid. As far as uniforms, don't make them specific as this will deter a lot of people, just have a group of camo-ACU/Woodland/etc. for Us and make them try to look the part if possible and the opposing side uses like straight tans or OD. Just my two cents in the matter, I like the idea. Get with Dave about it and everyone help change it from idea to reality

That's a pretty good idea. I was thinking if you want to be us than wear green or if you want to be nva wear tan or khaki or if you want to be vc wear black or something i really dont care about uniforms but if you could just try to dress the part i honestly dont care really.

yea, you could have the Americans in OD green or greenish colors, while the Vietcong can be in Tan or just near tan, brown could do. Have the Vietcong with more numbers and the Americans with more ammo and varied weaponry (just some ideas) also the Americans job would be to storm the town and take the towers along with holding it from the counter attack. The Americans could be given daves truck (if he allows) as a support like APC's were used in the war to deploy troops. And for ambient sound dave could be playing some Jimi hendrix and fortunate son by CCR. The Vietcongs could have a base near the SCUD and Trenches while the US starts on the far side of the town where there is a few small trenches and piles of brush, the objective would be to take the Flags (Blue, green, colors dont really matter) and hold them for the first round, then for the second the US starts in the town (only the town, but gets a 2min defensive set up time) while the vietcong can spawn anywhere around the town and only goal is take the 2 or 3 flags that are inside the town. good idea?, Also we could do classes if you guys would be interested 1. Rifleman (carrys a Assault rifle (field type rifle) is capable of holding more mags then other classes (6 max mid 2 max highcap) 2. Medic (Is able to heal soldiers by bringing them behind cover before they bleed out (bleed out = 20 seconds or less) but is limited to cqb weapons and 3 mid caps or 1 high 3. Support ( Carries a LMG and can have 2 mags max and supplies fellow troops with ammo) 4. Sniper or scout ( Carries a Sniper rifle or DMR, can have only 2 mags max high or mid caps, carries a radio that tells the leader of allied squad leaders enemy positions and can provide designated shots) 5. Squad leader (Max is 1 per squad, Is the same as rifleman but has a radio to the scout/sniper who tells positions of interest.) 6. Engineer ( Carries shotguns and SMG's, has as many shells as he can carry but is limited to 3 mids or 1 high cap mag, is capable of fixing dave's truck if destroyed or if on opposing team they can capture it. Say if dave's truck is destroyed ,the engineer can fix it in 1min max by standing in the bed of the truck.) Now for the group part, Squads can consist up to 10 people, 1 leader and 1 sniper, 2 medics, 5 Rifleman, and a support gunner. Platoon can consist of 2 or more squads working together forming one giant squad. (just ideas  ) |

Hmmm, would it be much if i have gotten about 8 friends that go or want to go to your field, and 2 strangers that i just talked to at a golf tournament said they will begin going to the field this summer. I will also post some stuff about the field on youtube and steam if you want me to to help out. Also if I have any extra cash after I buy some stuff from ya dave ill donate the rest since It can help out the field |

that would be great. i will take all the help i can get from the comunity right now. im dealing with some stuff right now (not all field related, house cought fire in the kitchen), and we really need some good numbers out at the field this year.

Dave, maybe towards the end of July we could have this up as a Operation maybe, and for the name it could be Operation: Rolling Thunder 2 ( As if the original operation the military did, did not work and this is the Plan B that is needed.) And I could create a story line to go with it and factions (teams) if you think its a good idea or so.

It would be nice to use a lot of traps and the like in this game-claymore, trip mines, the like...it'd add a more realistic feel...Maybe even have a few side ops during play like a med-evac or pilot rescue or find the POWs. Just some suggestions
