I'm putting together a Sport Smoke order. Sport Smoke is one of the only non-pyrotechnic smokes thats worth a darn. They use a pull-ring ignition system, are cold-burning, and wont set the field on fire. Also... they just plain rock. if you've never seen a sport smoke battlefield grenade in action, just go look at their website www.SportSmoke.comAt any rate, we're getting a group order together on NTA and since i'll be in Temple in less than a month, I thought i'd offer up the chance to get in on these great smoke grenades. The Battlefield Grenades are $15.95 each + tax, shipping, and hazmat. We're trying to do these in 50 piece orders so we can get the major case discount on the hazmat charges. At 50 pieces in an order, shipping and hazmat should be at or around $1 a grenade. Tactical Smokes are only $7.95, but the case size is massive. 164 pieces. If there's some extreme interest, we can try to get these too, but with 164 piece case size, i'm reluctant to commit to getting these. At $10 a unit, i can work with a 100 piece order. Let me know if there's any interest. Currently on the battlefield smoke order, there's 15 slots left in the first case. if you are interested please hop over to the NTA forum, make an account and PM me there (Geddon) with the total you want. I'm going to keep a running tab over there so everyone can see how much room is left in the case etc.

Has Dave declared these field safe? If so i'll definitively take one or two some grenades and one battlefield grenade. But if Dave hasn't declared them field safe go ahead and cancel my order until he does, if he does.

YES AND NO.
yes they can be used on the field.
but they have to be given to a OC and the OC will then use them in a smoke pot. a bucket with sand at the bottom. he will put the pot as close as he can to where you want but may have to offset away from grass, trees, etc. also not when there is a burn ban on.
thanks dave

Actually go ahead and cancel my order because soon it's going to get REALLY HOT then most likely there will be a burn ban, so sorry man.

You know these are totally cold burning, right Dave? You can more or less hold them in your hand. Totally non-pyrotechnic and pull ring ignited.
I've only been up close to one once, but i think you'd be hard pressed to start a fire with one--this is the only reason i'm going to start stocking them.
From their website: Q: Can smoke grenades start fires?
A: Our smoke grenades are unique in that they use non pyrotechnic, cool burning technology. However, there is a risk of fire when used in dry field conditions. Do not use smoke bombs in close proximity to flammable materials such as dry grass or dry leaves.
^ standard common sense disclaimer. If its "burn-ban dry" then it make sense to ban, for sure.

The case is now sold out and invoices are going out now. I have 13 of them in stock for me, i'll happily pass them on to anyone who wants them as a last resort. Be advised that you wont be able to get them until Aftermath as i'm not planning on delivering them to Temple any other way. I can leave them with Dave for a later pickup but can't be responsible for them after i leave them there.

I'd love to see them in action as well, I think the only way you can put Dave's mind at ease is to take one of the Sport Smokes, and pull it whilst it's contacting flammable material nearby, and post the video of it on here.
Putting a ton of straw on top of it and pulling the pin works too.
