Well we had sniper school and infantry school is around here somewhere and because I only know version 2s and a little bit of 3s and would like to know more, I thought it'd be cool if we had a gearbox training day get some broken gearboxes and some instructors and show some people like me how to work on gearboxes

That's also how Im learning but I thought hands on instruction would be cool so we don't ruin a gearbox like I did a couple years ago (although I did make a lot of money selling the parts on eBay)

I can teach you about all these airsoft things...but in the end its all about if you understand it and actually work on it....past just watching some one in front of you doing it.

Yeah the best way to do it is to watch a video on mechbox.com and then tear into it. Back when I first started out around 2007, my first gun was a UTG MP5, the cut off lever wore down and semi stopped working, and by the time I figured out that it was a $7 fix I had already spent $50+ lol. Live and learn...

I take it apart then try to put it back together. If I get stuck then I usually resort to the videos. But as far as working on a GB and tuneing is all trial and error. I remember when Neo used to ask me questions about certain things. Now I just make monstrosities.

If I had the money and the time to do so...I would try to create some sort of Frankenstein gun...
