So about 1000 AM this morning, I'm sitting in the living room with my puppy. Just relaxing, it's good to be on a 1 month vacation after deployment. I hear the door try to be unlocked and automatically think it's my wife trying to get in. I look at the clock and realize it's 10 and think to myself She should be at work. So instinctively I start to open the door, but pause to look through the hole. 3 Hispanic males are standing outside with a truck backup into my drive way blocking my own truck. Then I hear the door trying to be pushed open, I run back to the bedroom and quickly pull out my Norinco SKS loaded with 7.62x39 150gr Hollowpoints. I go back to the front door and wait; This time I try looking for the cellphone and the one time i need it, I can't find it. So I hear the door being tried to be opened again, thank god for 4 deadbolts. With the gun at low ready, I open the door and quickly raise the gun to their face.
The Dialog :
Me: WHO THE [**Insert colorful word here] are you?! WHY THE **** ARE YOU TRYING TO GET IN?! GET THE **** OFF MY PROPERTY!!! DON'T ******* MOVE !!!
The look on their face was priceless like WTH OMG OH SHEET!
Guess the guy across the street saw and heard everything happen and called the cops; good thing cause I couldn't find my phone till after.
They stood there on the lawn till the police came.
They said they weren't doing anything and that I pointed a firearm at them.
Cop heard me out told them I heard my door trying to be opened and that I did not know any of them.
Cop simply turned to the other guy and said he has every right to protect his property and himself. If he felt he was in danger or his property he could take action.
Gotta say my morning is just starting out and it's already been a interesting day.
As for the 3 guys police said they didn't need me for any other thing got my statement and took care of the rest. Good response time and everything.
Moral of the story, Don't mess with a guys house that has a loaded gun after he came back from deployment.
