A "man dress" is not specifically required for iraqi insurgents, however a quick google images search will provide you with plenty of appropriate examples. All insurgents must have a head covering of some kind.

Noncombatants

US Forces will occupy a main base and run security operations to maintain control of a main roadway while also providing support to 2 additional OP’s which they will also build. The US Engineer Corp will be provided materials and tools along with schematics of 2 different OPs which they will construct. They will have up to 5 hours to build the OPs without being attacked. At 12pm, the Taliban forces will enter the theatre and commence Operations and may attack the OPs regardless of their level of construction. US Security forces will also enter the theatre and begin operations to protect all US assets and disrupt Taliban Operations.
Taliban forces are moving weapons from from the southern city to the troops in the north and must avoid detection by US security forces in doing so. Weapons and Munitions will originate in the southern city and be placed in Caches or delivered directly to Northern Taliban forces by the Southern insurgency forces.
During this operation, both the insurgency commander and the US commander will be running missions from our Mission Book format to build victory points. If the US Forces cannot successfully defend their objectives, they will be docked victory points
Special Rules of Engagement:
In the Iraqi town, the US Forces must follow the following rules of engagement.
-Must not fire at any unarmed target, ever.
-Must not enter the mosque without direct permission
-Must not fire unless fired upon, and must only fire at those who fire at you.
Failure to abide by the ROE in town will earn the US forces a war crime penalty.
US Forces shall not outnumber Taliban Forces in total number. US Security Forces will be split and assigned into 3 main groups while Taliban Forces will be split into 2 main groups, making each whole Taliban group larger than any one US group. All walk-on players will be entered as Taliban/Insurgent forces. All US Military forces MUST pre-register by Feb 18.
US Victory Conditions
Complete Construction at both OPs to specification
Defend all OPs and prevent their capture.
Protect VIP assets from capture or injury
Intercept in transit or Locate and destroy Taliban weapons and munitions caches
Taliban Victory Conditions
Capture or disrupt construction of US OPs
Destroy US Main FOB
Assassinate or capture HVTs
Successfully smuggle weapons and supplies through the US Forces’ lines.
Special Rules and things you need to know:
-US forces will be assigned to a particular OP. It is possible that you will be stationed on the far side of the map and a long way from your car or camp site. You need to be prepared to take everything you need into the field. Ammunition, Food, Water, etc. Break time may be hard to come by.
-If you have a radio, you should bring it. If you don't have a radio, you probably want to get one. Please learn some radio discipline before this OP.
-Insurgents will not be carrying large amounts of ammunition on their person due to uniform restrictions and must instead operate from weapons caches. These caches will simply be wooden crates which are supplied by the game director in which you can place your ammunition/magazines and place in the field for quick resupply. The caches may be located and "destroyed" by US forces. If this happens, the boxes will be taken back to town and re-inserted as a munitions supply that must then be transported back into the field to be used again. The name of the game here is supply. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
-This event is taking place fairly close to spring. Depending on weather conditions it is possible for snakes to present on this field. If you see a snake, avoid it and alert an admin. Do not attempt to kill it with your AEG. Rattle snakes DO live in this part of Texas. If one bites you, you will go to the hospital and have the most UN-FUN experience of your life.
FOOD:
There's not a lot of restaurants nearby that aren't attached to the gas station. You should probably bring food to this OP.
The field owner has a supply of MREs that he can supply for about the same cost as a burger and fries + drive to the local gas station eatery. You can buy these at check in for about $7.50 each.
If you have dietary requirements, I would encourage you to bring your own food that can be prepared and eaten in the field. We will not stop the game entirely for a dinner break. Everyone will be eating at their assigned OPs during a general cease fire. We do this to ensure maximum play time on this epic AO.
Remember, this OP requires BIO bbs!
The field owner can get you hooked up with desert marpat for $50 top and bottom! Support the field and buy your uniforms there! Call Steve the field owner for details at 254-485-8100
Terrain photos:
Not an ideal shot, but just one example of the landscape out there. In many cases you have little to no view of the surrounding area due to hilly terrain, and in other cases you can see for miles. The total field size is well in excess of 200 acres. There's a lot of wilderness to disappear into... and yet, not a million trees or dense forest. It sneaks up on you how "lost" you can become.
another shot of the general terrain.
It gets dense in some places. Behind the town in the more southern regions closest to parking/staging, there are actually woods, but most of the action will not likely take place there unless the main military compound is besieged.
Pallets, boards, sheet metal, and plywood sheets will serve as building materials for the forward OPs. Designs have been drawn up and simply await field owner approval for both OPs and the iraqi town that the USMC will be occupying.
