On lonestar this morning: Doing a public whois search on the domain. The person's name, addy and contact info is listed. Apparently they live in Cedar Park and according to the site title and an address at the bottom of the page, the park may be located in Liberty Hill. ATX Airsoft ® 1070 CR 279, Liberty Hill, TX 78642 I wonder if they'll get the "temple treatment" from the lonestar goon squad.

We'll see. Such places tend to have as short shelf life. But to be fair I didn't think the Temple site was going to suceed when I first saw it a couple of years back. But Dave has done good work on it and made it last. Good for him. More venues to play at is nothing but a good thing in the end.

i made some big mistakes in setting up the field and town, from the pictures posted the owner is making the same mistakes i did. i hope he is outside the city limits. in the past 2 years i have seen 7 AS fields pup up and shut down in the area. i aint gona lie, its hard work.

Does Liberty Hill even have a "city limits"? Heh. It's little more than a wide spot in the road if I recall correctly.
But f the site owner is making errors, you ought to contact him and share your experiences, Dave.

He has a number on his page, is it too soon to call him to verify he has insurance and everything squared away?

1. he knows how to contact us,
2. im not going to treat him like others treated this field on lonestar.
3. im just going off what he has posted so i could be right or wrong.
4. i want to help the hobby and not hurt it so the im going to be nutral till i see what it is.
but i will say this, if it was not for my retirement and wife the field would have folded after 6 months. i have invested vast amounts of money in the field and as i have told everyone who ask if they should build a field get ready to loose money for at least the first 2 years prior to making any money. thats why so many fields show up and then close. just a fact.

I have a feeling he's going to try outsourcing for the paintball market when he realizes how much of a limited market for airsoft is available in Austin. EDIT: Looks like he's going to try the airsoft-only route, according to the Facebook page. This should be interesting.

There is more people in Austin playing airsoft than you would expect. That is an interesting statement. I was under the impression that most of the airsoft scene in Texas had shifted North

again i wish them well but if you dont want rumors, or untruths just go to there web site or FB page and ask them. i know them and they are good players. the central tx area can support 2-3 fields if the fields / teams / players all do there part and play nice and bring more new players into the hobby. but i hope that everyone understands how hard it is to run a field. i still have not got a paycheck out of this thing yet

not being a smart ass but if we don't want to promote other fields, why is there an entire board section named "Other Fields"?
