I have to show this off. My evil wife suprised me with this AEG for Christmas.
It's a G&P "CAR-15"*. Marui used to make a replica of one of these back when I first got into the hobby in '03 or so, but they went out of production and I was never able to find one at the time. But I recently saw that G&P was making them, so needless to say it went on my short list of airsoft guns to buy. I'm not normally a fan of AR-15 type rifles (especially the suped up "tacticool" M4 type guns so beloved of many airsofters) , but I do like "classic" guns such as the first M16 varients. So needless to say I'm pretty happy with my new toy.
Now I just need to get it a new battery and some extra magazines (replicas of the 20 round style thank you!) and I'll take it out for a test run.
Anyone else get anything good airsoft related for Christmas?

*- G&P (and Marui before them) somewhat incorrectly call this replica a "CAR-15. It actually replicates the Colt XM-607 "sub machinegun" , which was an early attempt at making an M16 carbine. The RS is quite rare with only about 50 examples being made.
