To be a "sniper" you have to have a "sniper rifle", that meets "sniper rifle" specifications. Not many people have such gun, luckily Dave hasn't adopted the look like a duck quack like a duck rule.

Yup, Not every noob with an $80 L96 should be allowed to hold a sniper position. Maybe Dave should post his field requirements to be a sniper. |

If you wanna snipe, go ahead. no one here is stopping you. but just beware due to the fact that Dave is a real sniper. Sniping doesn't just mean sitting in the back and shooting from afar. it's a whole different strategy and mentality. it's a lot more than a ghillie and a gun. trust us.
More to the point, we are all stumped as to why you mentioned your AK (assault, not sniper) and how many mags you have in a post about wanting to snipe. mag numbers make little difference and definitely don't intimidate. We're here for fun, not to try intimidate other players. Just say "I'll be there to play". You can play however you want and no one will hold it against you.
On the forum, people who don't know you only see you according to what you post. If you post annoying or foolish messages, don't be surprised if people see you as such.
Let's just be done with this subject, please.

400+ fps guns are DMR or sniper rifles, 450+ must be cleared by me and will not let everyone be on the field with a gun like that.
most "snipers" find out that they are not good at it or find out that they are hunted on the field and killed quick. so go ahead and play sniper, you will spend lots of time at the respawn point if you are no good.

Gonna be out with some toys OT: I'm one of the worst snipers out there, unlike the real world, we can't outrange a very high end AEG by 500% and still be non-lethal . tactics, lots of dirt, an hour of low-crawling, and oodles of recon, are what i've come to expect. (Although when you do get a hit from 80yds, and someone's fireteam lead screams "SNIPER" and everyone hurls themselves off the roads, i get a chuckle.) |

This sounds like a fun game. I might just have to make another 2 hour drive to the field! about how many people total will be there?
Oh and what are uniform rules? Will all 5 teams have different uniforms? Or arm bands?

Usually the Hillcrest Iron make an appearance to so far ALL the RISK games.
So it's safe to say they will make it to this one as well...if that is the case...they will bring a MIN of 25 people.
So there will be a nice number of people.
Different armband colors is the norm for these games. |

Yup, right now, the Hillcrest Iron have 28 confirmed with another 9 that will confirm one way or another on Wednesday night. We have our veteran core players coming as well as some brand new really young players that will be out there for the first time and will probably get chewed up pretty good.  So it will be at least a partially target friendly environment for you veteran players Spetz |
