In the small town or the hedge rows we could have a two man sniper team (spotter + sniper) as if they were in enemy territory and had to eliminate the "compound" of all bogeys. They opposing force would be somewhere around 5-10 guys, and their could be variables such as hostages that have to be rescued, supplies that need to be taken, or an area that needs to be "blown up". One life for everyone. It'd have to start off with just patrols around the "compound" and with a few guys just hanging around somewhere just conversing or something of the sort, then when gunfire is heard it raises the alert then the hunt begins.
Any other ideas or criticism would be great fellas.

I was going to suggest something like this myself! I have been wanting to put my ghillie to good use--it's made for the dead grass/bush color and I already have seen some great spots out at the field to use it. Only problem is that I don't have a sniper rifle, but I'd really enjoy being the spotter and I might even have some binoculars laying around.

Yeah that's where i got the idea from when we talked Saturday, figured it'd be a great way to see who can work together, and sounds like alot of fun. It'd be interesting just to watch the whole thing unravel after the first shot

ok sniper hunt. need 2 sniper teams of 2 ea... 1 x sniper with sniper rifle 1 x spotter with ar rifle
all other players start with a pistol for 15 min. SMGs (p-90 / or MP-5 sized) for 15 min all other guns after that.
start of the game at the bottom of the hedgrows the snipers can be anyplace in the town / mortar pit or hedgrows. trenches out of bounds. 0 restawns. that will be one of the games this sat.

Alright now we just need some people with nice rifles. I for one want to see what a really well-made one can do, I've only seen my old crappy one in action. Does anyone else have a similar camo pattern to mine? 2 ghillies would be great because otherwise the spotter's camo could neutralize the advantage of the ghillie if they were together. You could make it work but in some situations I feel like it could be less than optimal.
Also, for dave, would the spotter be allowed an automatic weapon like an smg or automatic pistol for close range defense if something goes wrong? Sounds like a great situation! Would the hunters have all the guns with them or have to go back to get them at a set location? Could have some heightened tension and a way to get things moving if it's at a set point because the snipers could try to observe the spot and hunt them there. Or plant the guns around the field as little bits of bait. Just throwin stuff out there.
If we could get enough to do a 2v5-10 on wednesday I'd love to do that, because I'm not sure I can come out Saturday. I might have something that day, and I'm not sure I can keep up the pace of $20+ every week. If we get a bunch of people coming like last time I might have to show up though haha.

Even if we don't have very many Wednesday you could do something with 4-6 guys with one sniper team trying to rescue a hostage and the opposition either having an objective to complete along with guarding the (immobile) captive or having a set time after the first shot is fired before they can kill the "hostage"(a paper plate on a stick or something would do).

I assume the sniper team would have to "stalk" into firing range of the compound right? If they are sighted inbound, the compound should be able to send a patrol out to attempt an intercept. I like Dave's idea of escalation ... basically after 30 mins all weapons free, including counter sniper team if the compound has one.

Does anyone have a sniper rifle that will be out there wednesday or saturday? This could be done with only concealment on the side of the sniper team but it'd be nice to have something with some real range.

Yeah we'd need at least two people with decent ranged rifles, but if we cant, M14's or weapons simliar to it would suffice as a sniper, even though it'd be a bit harder.
