He will have a hard time proving a trademark on a descriptive mark based on a historical event. But Battle of Arnhem is better anyway. And just to piss him off I will use Operation Market Garden in everything that I post. Let me know if you need a response letter.

Good timing. Last week I watched A Bridge Too Far on DVD, you know that movie about Operation Market Garden. I remembered it from the 70s as one of those movies played once a year on ABC that we would beg to stay up late to watch just to see Operation Market Garden. It has held up very well. In fact, better, now that I'm watching it on 60 inch HD screen as opposed to a 17 inch grainy black and white. Certainly a film that stands as an original and does not need a remake.

So are you going to put a river in so we can cross it in rickety boats? I want to be Major Elliot.

You can't sue over the use of history.... that's basic copyright law, lol. That guy's full of shit. The only way he could is if you used some name that he came up with for this particular event. If "operation market garden" is what it's called (or one of it's names) in the history books, there's not a damn thing he can do, lol.
