KWA makes some quality guns, mainly the AR15 variants. Good choice though if your just getting into it. Good to see you came on the forums as well.

Beware of KWA's gearboxes tho, They have a tendency to shred the internals.

Don't run LiPo then, NIHM 9.6 should be just fine.

When I researched the aeg it said somethin about having a 2gx gearbox ,9mm bearings or gears??? And It did say lipolly ready but at the moment I have a nunchuck style 9.6v 2000 mah and it seems to cycle ok . Although I am not new to squad based tactics and traing I am new to aeg's so all the info helps tremendously. I do want to get the rof alittle higher. Any ideas as to what motor to use.

Contrary to what KWA says, their guns are not Li-po ready. I would recommend grabbing a new piston for it, thats a major upgrade many KWA owners will tell you to grab.

To kangabox: who would be a good place to go through in or to get the new piston. To Devon: I will be out at the field Saturday but I have my son this weekend so I will not be participating. Just checking the field out and getting the general run down. I do plan on playing next weekend amd everyone after that though. Lol I'm addicted

Don't be fooled by those "Lipo ready" gimmicks. Any gun can run a lipo, how well...thats a different story. and your gearbox should be fine. I ran a lipo in a stock CYMA, and it shot perfect. Will i continue to, yes.
KWA is a good out the box, if you want to shoot fast just go LiPo. But keep in mind the higher the ROF the more wear and tear you put on it faster. Just leave your gun stock as is, no point on fixing something that isn't fixed. Neo shoots a KWA and has had no problems with it.
The 2gx is the newer version of the Gen 1 GB. Reinforced, and their internals are along the best stock. Whoever had a stripped gears pistons and what not had either a lemon or did something to the gun. So no need to buy a piston, gears or anything.

As Poo said, I run a KWA 2GX M4....Running a 11.1v Lipo since I got it about 2 years ago. It is a much reinforced gearbox design along with it's internals and the hop-up. They can take a beating. As for anything that gets smacked all over the place by a spring...things eventually break. The only difference is the time it takes to happen. ^-^ By the way...I am Neo.
