Sounds great. One question about caps though: (I didn't attend Aftermath) Do they need to be anything specific, I'm collecting both metal and plastic caps right now.

Good heavens man! You have levels? Does this actually work on the airsoft field? Or does everything just get confusing?

Ask any of our 111 attendees from this year's game. www.ctaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=aftermathhere's Aftermath 1's thread. Not everything went perfect, which is why there are changes, however, considering the level of complexity, i think it went great.

It works great. I was an admin for the original aftermath and if players actually take the time to study up on the rules it turns out amazing.

Gonna be experimenting with this concept for armor props www.indymogul.com/backyardfx/episode/bfx_20110517/buildOnce we figure out what the specs will be, they'll be released and according to your class, you'll be able to benefit from home-brew versions that you build and bring from home.

I've been experimenting with this method for a while. Actually, the entire Cosplay community has been... XD
Pros: It's foam. Safer than fiberglass.
Cons: Gets hot as hell, even if its negative celsius outside. I'm in the process of rigging 2 computer fans to my build, to see if I can bring the heat down. More or less, impractical for airsoft, unless you only plan on having just a chest build.
Also, for the average airsofter it'll have a tendency to crack and break, unless you get the proper expensive sealants.

Actually if you did that right you could attach things like the metal face mech masks and full sealing goggles to make a single piece look. Not sure it would full count as a one piece cover but if done with keeping the safety of the items more in minds than the look at first you could end up with some cool masks and what not.
I could see shoulder guards being used somewhat in airsoft without causing to much trouble, and maybe giving you that extra padding if you tend to take a lot of shoulder hits. You just have to be ready for it to get holes and chip away as BBs hit it, but if done right that could just add to the look.

I don't think that was ever in question, which is why I said taking into consideration of the safety of the items over the look to start out. If the mesh mask and goggles still fit correctly over you face, and no gaps are anywhere for a BB to slip in, and that doesn't mean covered by the foam, because I guarantee you a BB will go right through that stuff, then yeah it could be used for some great personalized looking items.
I would say anyone wanting to try this out to use practically should make it with the idea of allowing Dave to shot it a few times with any gun of his choice at different ranges (point blank being the real test) If you feel your creation could stand up to that kind of test mask-wise go for it. After that body armor and what not is all on you, and what you are willing to wear or not wear with BBs coming at you.

Good heavens man! You have levels? Does this actually work on the airsoft field? Or does everything just get confusing? Im 52 years old and never heard of this video game, the storyline when it came out looked interesting, I had to read the reg about five times, but the more I read, I understood. I ended up helping the enclave commander, and I really had a blast at this event, didnt have no problems following the game play at all. Duke, Recon Warriors

We have several shoulder pads we used at Aftermath that we are willing to sell to recoup our costs. We used them for the Super Mutants to give us a larger profile.
