I know the physical difference of sound versus bbs, but is the kill radius bigger on one or the other?

Rules are starting to change now but the basic rules I've been seeing now are as folows.
Thunder Bs - kill radius of 5 ft OR thunder Bs only work in rooms. It differs between fields.
Tornados - BBs have to hit you OR kill radius of 10 ft. Like I said it differs.
But those are the basic rules I've encountered at fields now a days.

And you don't have to buy refill cases for a tornado right? That will be cheaper in the long run

I just bought a thunder-b so fun by the way
-thunder-b have to replace sell and uses a whole co2 cartridge each use-$30-40ish (for core pin and 12 shells)
-tornado completely reusable just replace bbs and green gas every use-$99.99ish
